Placement Cell at IHE New Delhi is Called 'Eminence'

I'm in my second year now. Various facilities are available in my course such as industrial equipment (spray dryer, extraction unit, hot air ovens, microwave, BOD machine, tray dryer, and so on). I chose this course because it is something different and unique. The Institute admin make sure that the quality of food the canteen sells is good and safe to eat. Overall I will suggest students to pursue this course in my Institute as it also provide Masters degree.

I'm currently pursuing B.Sc (Hons.) in Food Technology. This course helps you to understand the Science behind the food, how it affects your body, how we can make the food accessible to all people, how we can improve the quality of the food, what all processing techniques we can use to enhances our food's safety, shelf life and nutrition, etc. For admission, the students have to qualify CUET exam. The students have to maintain the 67% of attendance to sit in the semester exam. The examination occurs semester wise we also have internal test which can boost your final CGPA, internal marks is of 30 marks which includes 6 marks attendance, 12 marks assignment and 12 marks test. The second exams are little bit hectic due to more core papers.

The fee of my course is affordable. Several Scholarships are also offered by the University.

The faculty teachers of IHE New Delhi have good educational background. Most of the professors have done Ph.D in their respective field. We also have assistant professors and guest lecturers. The teaching methods depends from teacher to teacher, they mostly teach us with the help of blackboard, PPTs, group discussion, etc. They ask the students to make the presentation on particular topic which make the session more interesting. We also have a student advisor who helps us to rectify our queries and doubts regarding the course, examination form, etc. The teachers are very approachable, they help us with reference books, research papers, and etc.

Yes, the Institute has placement cell named Eminence. The placements are not up to the marks. The students mostly go for their further studies.

No, our Institute doesn't provide any hostel facilities but you can find many affordable PGs near it.

The campus of IHE New Delhi has two blocks named block A and block B. Block A is the old building. Our campus is spread over 2.07 acres of land, it is not that huge. It is located at Hauz Khas area. Each block has 3 floors. The classrooms are spacious and fully ventilated. The campus has library which has wide range of books, laboratories, seminar hall, conference hall, etc.

My overall campus life is fine so far. My Institute Focuses more on academics then any extracurricular activities. If we want to participate in those activities then we have to sacrifice our attendance for the fest or any event. It conducts an annual fest called ‘FERIA’ which is very fun. Various singers are invited in this fest to perform for the students. Several societies are present at the Institute campus and I am currently a part of Northern Students Association.
