Institute of Home Economics Fees Structure & Courses 2025, New Delhi

I chose B.A (Hons.) Journalism to be part of dynamic field and future media platforms. The admission procedure is through the DU CSAS Portal based on CUET score. Eligibility for my course in entrance exam is English + 3 domain subjects or English + General Test depending on what fits you. In terms of academic examinations, we have two major semester end exams, most probably one in Dec-Jan & second in May-Jun. Before Semester end theory examinations, we have internal assessments and practicals. So, the examinations not just focus on theory but also give you understanding of media in the past, future and present.

The fee for my course at IHE New Delhi might feel a bit higher as compared to some other DU Colleges. The reason is that it is likely used for development purposes and funding different societies for students.Read Full Review

This course is a professional course of 4 years. It will give you opportunities of various field visits and internship opportunities in your 1st, 3rd, and 4th years. Your last year will be completely based on school teaching and to implement things you have learnt and understood till date. This not just develops your skills but also gives you an advantage of practical knowledge as well. The eligibility for this is very different as it requires you to give entrance test specifically designed for this course. You have to score a minimum of 65% marks in your exam.

The academics of the institute are not compromised at any cost. The institute is serious about studies and the students are interactive and responsive too. There are different departments like Microbiology, Journalism, Elementary Education, Food Tech, Home Science, and Biochemistry.
