University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) started its operations in the year 2003 as a Private Institution. The University is located at Dehradun, Uttarakhand and is approved by UGC. It is also recognised by BCI, PCI, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Government of Uttarakhand, Distance Education Council (DEC), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), and Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
UPES Dehradun is accredited by NAAC & National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Moreover, there are around 2 campuses of the University namely, ‘Kandoli’ and ‘Bidholi’. Admission Process
Online application forms are available for the students on the official website of the University. Additionally, UPES Dehradun admission seats are filled on merit basis which includes student’s past academic performance, score of University’s entrance test / State or National level test. Afterwards, the University organises Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) round for the eligible students and it may differ depending on the course’s requirement.
* UPES Dehradun accepts the applications of International students as well but the academic requirements, fees, and process for admission differs for them.

The University offers scholarships to the students to reduce their financial debt so that they can access quality education.
