St. Xavier's College Kolkata Faculty Profile

The faculty members of SXC Kolkata are great. New teachers have joined the College. Almost all the teachers have done Ph.D in their respective field. They use various teaching methods such as PPTs, blackboard, group discussion, etc. There are more than 45 teachers in our department. The teachers are approachable; you can ask the doubts outside the class as well. The faculty members of my department have done Ph.D in their respective field. All of our faculties are from West Bengal. They have done specialisation in specific branches too. There is a professor who is teaching Environmental Economics have completed their education from Japan. We have a mentor professors assigned for each semester that we can approach of we have any doubt beyond the syllabus. The teachers always encourage us for writing research papers and articles. They are helpful and supportive despite being strict about attendance at the same time. The teaching methods include blackboards, white boards, projectors, etc.Read Full Review

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and experienced. The Head of Department along with the others professors have good educational background. The teaching methods include PPTs, group discussion, etc. The teachers solve all the problems of the students without much delay. There are around 60 to 70 students in our course and paper is divided in 2 modules. Each module is taught by a separate professor. The faculty members are quiet friendly and strict at the same time. My personal experience and bonding with almost all the professors is great.Read Full Review
