• The hostellers are required to pay additional charges (one-time) including admission fees of Rs. 8000/- and caution deposit (refundable) of Rs. 10,000/-, which are not included in the aforementioned fees.

In order to foster a disciplined and conducive academic environment within the GLIM Gurgaon hostels, the authorities have formed some rules for the residents which they have to follow.

Some of the St. Xavier's College Kolkata hostel rules are as follows:

• Students need to obtain permission from the hostel superintendent in advance if they are staying outside the hostel during the night.
• If any student is found indulged in smoking and consuming alcohol then they will be expelled from the hostels, as they are considered strictly banned.
• Residents are not allowed to make noises in the hostel area during the specified timing which is 6:00 PM -8:00 PM and 9:30 PM -10:30 PM.
• Students are not allowed to do doodling and pasting or pinning any posters on the wall of the hostel rooms. If found so, the hostel authorities will charge fines against the hosteller.
• If any hostel residents want to do any study-related discussion then it needs to be done in the reading / dining room after 10:00 PM.
• Hostellers cannot play any musical instruments or electronic gadgets within the hostel’s living room. Moreover, if any student possesses such items then they need to obtain permission from the hostel in-charge in a written format.
• Students must keep their belongings safely as they will be solely responsible for them. Moreover, the hostel authorities will not be held responsible for any kind of theft.
• Necessary items like mattress, pillow, bed sheets, etc., must be brought by the students only.
• Residents need to submit the duplicate key of the hostel room in the head office of the residential building.
