IIT Ropar Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Infrastructure is good. Since, It is second generation IIT. The buildings are quite new. The campus has canteen, stationary, garden, etc. The classrooms are well maintained with AC facilities. The library is not big. In every department, one room is available for seminars. The auditorium is not so big and it can accommodate 800 students. Sports facilities are also quite good.

My campus experience has been very good. Events are regularly organised. The cultural fest called Zeitgeist is one of the biggest fest of North India. People from other Institutes also come to participate in events. The tech fest called 'Advitiya', the sports fest called 'Aarohan', and the literary fest called 'Malhar' is also conducted by the Institute. A lot of sports competitions are organised throughout the year like 'Inter Year Sports Championship' (IYSC) and people to watch the matches.Read Full Review

The campus is newly built. The institute was shifted to new campus in the year 2016. Therefore, the infrastructure is good. There are different buildings for different departments, and the institute provides with almost all basic facilities and amenities. It is a little far from the main city and lacks in some things such as food outlets. Apart from that it also has some sports inside the campus only such as TT and Badminton.

It conducts 4 fests; Cultural, Sports, Technological, and Video Games. There are many committees such as BOSA, BOCA, BOLA , etc. The campus has many clubs such as Aeromodelling, Robotics, AIML, Alankar (singing), etc. There are clubs for Literature, Cultural, and Sport Activities too. The overall campus life is good but there are some disadvantages such as low food outlets and also the food outlets do not provide food with good taste.Read Full Review

Institute campus is of 500 acres. The main academic block has many offices and a canteen. The classes are mainly conducted in ‘Radhakrishnan Block’ also known as lecture hall complex. There is an auditorium having a seating capacity for 950 students. The library has capacity for 400 students. Almost every course book is found in the library. There is a separate block for every department.

Campus life is pleasant at IIT Ropar. There are around 5000 to 6000 students. Recently, we had an Institute fest called ‘Zeitgeist’ which was very fun and a great event to enjoy. There are many opportunities for students to show their extracurricular skills and other talents.Read Full Review
