Most of the lab members in Electrical Department are diploma holders and the faculties have a degree in PG from either Calcutta or Jadavpur University. The teacher student ratio is reasonable. We have both blackboards and PPTs type of teaching. Almost all classes have smart boards. The facilities are quite helpful and supportive. You can easily approach any of the faculties from your department; they will always be ready to help you. For gaining special attention from them, you have to be a bit attentive in their classes and be curious during practical classes in lab. I told that our institute is an autonomous institute so the faculties are very good. They help us a lot for our semester exams. Their behavior is also good. They teach us very well. They themselves made question paper for us for the semester exams and they only check the answer sheets. They provide notes and other materials for better preparation. If a student studies those notes and materials only, they can easily get 9 + CGPA in semester exams.Read Full Review

If I talk about my branch IT, faculties are average, you have to prepare from outside. My suggestion is that don't choose IT branch in HITK, ECE faculties are too good, they will help you to do things outside things rather than focusing on just academics. Although CSE faculties are too good too. Some of them have done M.Tech from IIT.Read Full Review
