MNNIT Allahabad Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Being established in 1961 that is around with 60 years ago, it needs time-to-time renovation. Campus size is about 200+acres. It is located in the city area, so you will have access to all basic facilities outside the campus. Some classrooms are new and well maintained but many of them need refurbishment. However, library is decent and large enough, you will find every book there, we have M hall (multipurpose hall) in name of auditorium that is based on old traditions. Seminar hall is nice but very small having seat capacity of nearly 150 students. Institute has two well-maintained restaurants named as Dews and Cafe 96, which were established by our alumni. Medical facilities are nice as the institute has separate hospital, and we have Apollo Pharmacy for medicines. Transport facility is also available for day scholars and for hostlers bus is available for first 1 month. Security is decent enough. One thing which I liked most of my institute is its lawn tennis court is well equipped and well maintained.

Talking about campus life, it is average. I will rate it 7 out of 10. However, if you have good friends in institute you will definitely not regret after 4 years because after 4 years you will have good decent job for which this institute is known and lot of new memories with your friends.Read Full Review

The campus of MNNIT Allahabad spans 222 acres of land, providing ample space for academic building, hostels, sports facilities and others. The campus has both old and new buildings. Some of the departments are having modern infrastructure. Well maintained paths and roads connect whole campus. The classrooms here are spacious, some are old but some are having modern technologies like projectors, ACs, etc. In old classrooms you can find difficulty in summers as only fans are available there and Allahabad city suffers from extreme heat during summers. The labs and workshops are also well maintained and well equipped with equipments. Library also has plenty of books but library is somewhere too small for all the students. In sports, multiple sports fields are there for cricket, football, basketball and volleyball. Gym is also present here each for both boys and girls. Mess food is average here as there is nowhere where we can get food like our homes. For Medical facilities each day a doctor is present there and a pharmacy is also there. Other facilities like: Three canteens are available there for students. Other than this ATM and banking facilities are also present in campus. Stationary and convenience stores are also available for students.

The Institute life in this Institute is average not like as in Institutes of Delhi but it is okay. There are many events that are organized in Institute like cultural event: ‘Culrav’, Institute hosts cultural events like music, dance and drama performances. Another is technical event: ‘Avishkar’, that includes hackathons, coding competitions, robotic events and many more. Other sports events are also organized there. This Institute has too many clubs and society that helps a student to grow and focus on interest like: dance, music, acting, singing, art and literature. My experience about campus life in this Institute is good as major part of Institute life is made by you and your friends. Campus size of MNNIT Allahabad is around 222 acres but if you are a boy, one third of it is only allowed to visit for you rest of the campus is reserved for allocation of girls hostels and professors residential area. There is only one library available to us, which is of decent size named as Central Library located in main academic building. One Big Auditorium is there, named MP Hall. All the big and official events take place here. There is also one small sized hall is there, named seminar hall. One institute canteen is there named Yamuna canteen. Rest aside: there are two more Cafes there, which are Cafe'96 and Mr. Dewsis. There is one big ground where all sports like football, athletics, etc. takes place. One small sized is also there named, as Gymkhana. Male Gym is also there here generally cricket net practices are done. Classrooms are mainly available in academic building and NLHC. My Favorite place to hangout is behind admin building as it is very quiet place and I love that.

Campus life honestly is decent enough. There are fewer places to hangout in campus, but the fun part is institute crowd is just amazing. They are very much talented and most of them are very warming. There are many clubs like dramatics club, music club, and dance societies for each tradition like Bengali, Marathi, Nepali, etc. Many activities are organized within institute like there is one thing named as Anokhi Paheli, where students can volunteer to teach underprivileged children. There is one cultural fest named as Culrav and it is of 3 Days. One technical event, named Avishkar and another event for sports, named Annual Athletic Meet.Read Full Review
