MNNIT Allahabad Fee Structure and Admission Process

Overall experience of completing a semester here had been amazing for me. It is filled with many memories with my friends and batch mates and I’ve learned a lot of stuff. Prime factor for choosing this institute was its great coding culture, awesome placement records and especially it located in the holy city. I have participated in different committees like core dramatics & football and the experience of it was very good. I participated in several events and helped in organization of different events too. Overall, it was a nice experience.

I have chosen Electronics Communication Engineering here, which is second number branch here after CSE. The batch strength is 198. An admission criterion is JEE Main. Admission process is conducted by JoSAA and CSAB collectively. There are two exams: one is mid-sem and another one is end-sem in a semester. My academic course is closely related to modern world. As a future Electronics Engineer, I am learning the very core basic of electronics field along with new technologies like VLSI, Fabrication, and other things. At the same time, I will be equipped with knowledge software domain, as I will be learning DSA; AI & ML. so yes academic is great. In my institute, NEP is also applied.

Fee for each semester is Rs. 62,500. Therefore, for a year, it is 1,25,000. This structure includes tuition fees, lab fee, and all other fees. Admission fee is Rs. 5,000 that is to be paid one time only. There are several scholarships based on a student’s academic performance.

There are many professors in ECE department each have done Doctorates and M.Tech from renowned institutes of the world. They are skilled in their particular area of interest and have good knowledge of basics. Teacher to student ratio in lecture is 1 teacher is there for 80 students. Problem solving ability of professors here is great. They have wide knowledge in the research area. Most of them are welcoming for asking questions related to the subject. One can go to their cabin office also if he/she faces any issues in the subject.

There is a cell called as Training & Placement cell (TnP). There is several placement related activities from third and final year onwards. I am a first year student so I still do not know much about the activities.

Yes, MNNIT Allahabad has residential facilities. First year boys are provided with SVBH (Swami Vivekananda Boy’s hostel). It is 7-floored building with spacious rooms. There are two messes and one badminton court. For second year boys, there are two hostels: Patel and Tilak. They both need to be renovated. For third year boys, there are two more hostels, named Malaviya and Tendon. They are below average. For final year boys, in B.Tech there is a hostel named NBH (New Boys Hostel). It is just great in itself, equipped with every modern facility. It would be the best experience to live there. Yes, girl and boy’s hostels are at different places. Hostel fee for a year is Rs. 25,000 and mess fees for both semester or for a year is Rs. 50,000. There is time restriction for SVBH hostels, which is 10:30 PM. from second year onwards; there is as such no restriction. moreover for girls, time restriction is for all years which is 10:30 PM.

Campus size of MNNIT Allahabad is around 222 acres but if you are a boy, one third of it is only allowed to visit for you rest of the campus is reserved for allocation of girls hostels and professors residential area. There is only one library available to us, which is of decent size named as Central Library located in main academic building. One Big Auditorium is there, named MP Hall. All the big and official events take place here. There is also one small sized hall is there, named seminar hall. One institute canteen is there named Yamuna canteen. Rest aside: there are two more Cafes there, which are Cafe'96 and Mr. Dewsis. There is one big ground where all sports like football, athletics, etc. takes place. One small sized is also there named, as Gymkhana. Male Gym is also there here generally cricket net practices are done. Classrooms are mainly available in academic building and NLHC. My Favorite place to hangout is behind admin building as it is very quiet place and I love that.

Campus life honestly is decent enough. There are fewer places to hangout in campus, but the fun part is institute crowd is just amazing. They are very much talented and most of them are very warming. There are many clubs like dramatics club, music club, and dance societies for each tradition like Bengali, Marathi, Nepali, etc. Many activities are organized within institute like there is one thing named as Anokhi Paheli, where students can volunteer to teach underprivileged children. There is one cultural fest named as Culrav and it is of 3 Days. One technical event, named Avishkar and another event for sports, named Annual Athletic Meet.
