Overall Rating
MNNIT is a prestigious Institute. It was established in 1961. Being such an old institute it was really fascinating to join it. It was one of the first few engineering institutes in India and it was the first institute in India where Computer Science was introduced as a branch. Overall, this institute had a top reputation and placement which encouraged me to join. The experience here has been wonderful till now. Connectivity and city life is an issue but other than that it is a great institute, and one should join it as it has a great placement record and amazing college life.
 

Academics Rating
Academics here are great. There are a variety of branches ranging from Computer Science to Biotechnology and obviously enrolling into this requires a decent JEE rank. After JOSAA counselling, a branch is allotted. NEP is introduced in each branch and thus makes studies more efficient. This leads to giving a choice where a student can even opt for a minor degree in the field which they are interested in apart from the major B.Tech Degree. Overall, great design of courses for greater development.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is highly qualified. They have either studied abroad or from IIT for their Ph.D. They are constantly researching on some topics. The faculties try to make classes highly interactive and give regular assignments to help in keeping the concepts fresh. Quiz takes place for internal marking. The style of teaching varies from teacher to teacher, some use PPT while some use blackboards. There is a rule of minimum 75% attendance and failing to do so leads to consequences. This also varies from professor to professor.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is the most attractive part of this institute. There is a placement cell in the institute which helps students land their dream offers on campus. There are mock interviews, regular sessions held to guide through placements. Many companies visit the MNNIT leading to diverse opportunities in multiple domains. Projects made during tech fest really help during placements. People always have options to choose their field in which they want to work irrespective of their branch.
 

Hostel Rating
Multiple hostels are there. First years have a different hostel as well as final years. They are relatively new to hostels; hence, they are offered better infrastructure. Other hostels are really old, but they are maintained. Rooms are small but it is just like any other normal hostels. Mess is also provided. There are sports facilities such as Badminton courts, table tennis tables with a few gardens around the hostels. There are no washing machines, but laundry service is available. Overall, a decent hostel life is but there are many power cuts in the area.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic blocks are great and there is greenery on campus. AC classrooms are there. Some are non-AC but they are being converted. There are multiple cafes in the campus and sports facilities like tennis court, basketball courts are present here. 2 major grounds are also present where events take place. Labs are available which require top machines. Stationary shops are also inside the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is decent in this college. The crowd comprises people from different states and it depends on you how you adjust with them. Multiple clubs are there and their respective events take place throughout the year. Avishkar and Culrav are tech fest and cultural fest respectively. They happen on a large scale and are full of engagement and entertainment. One can enjoy sports as well as events.

    I have spent 6 months at MNNIT Allahabad till now, and my experience has been a mixed bag.     The experience has been full of ups and downs. The academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities have taught me how to handle pressure and manage time efficiently. MNNIT Allahabad was the first to introduce CSE program in the country. Also, the excellent placement records makes this course especially sought after among the aspirants.
