MNNIT Allahabad Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

I am pursuing ECE at MNNIT. The reason, which made me to join this institute, is one that this is best NITs in Northern India. Secondly, since last 3-4 years it has fabulous placements. It is also ranked first in North India in case of the placements. It also comes in top 6 from 31 NITs all over India. Since, this institute has completed more than 60 years of excellence, it has largest chain of alumni network all across the world. I have spent 6 months at MNNIT Allahabad till now, and my experience has been a mixed bag. On one hand. the Institute's strong reputation and ranking among top NITs in India have open doors for me. The quality of education in top notch, with a rigorous curriculum that pushes students to their limits. The Institute has a strong focus on research and innovation, with many faculty members and students working on cutting edge projects. It will provide opportunities to work on live projects and develop skills that are highly valued in the industry. However the academic schedule is extremely hectic with long hours of classes, labs and assignments, leaving little time for extracurricular activities, sports and personal interest. The other negatives include not that much good teaching while some professors are excellent, others seems disinterested and unprepared. Overall I'd say that MNNIT Allahabad is a great choice for students who are looking for a rigorous academic experience, strong research opportunities, and reputable degree. However students who want to explore in other fields also may find other Institutes.Read Full Review

Overall experience of completing a semester here had been amazing for me. It is filled with many memories with my friends and batch mates and I’ve learned a lot of stuff. Prime factor for choosing this institute was its great coding culture, awesome placement records and especially it located in the holy city. I have participated in different committees like core dramatics & football and the experience of it was very good. I participated in several events and helped in organization of different events too.
