Candidates seeking admission in PIMR MBA programs have to qualify Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). It is a National Level Entrance Exam conducted by the NTA. The institute provides admission based on the merit score of CMAT.

The institute follows the guideline of the Directorate of Technical Education for the admissions in its MBA programs. To get admission in MBA programs offered by PIMR, candidates have to follow the below-stated application process:
Step 1: Online Registration
Candidates have to select a course by logging into the DTE Madhya Pradesh Portal. They have to fill up the Registration Form on the basis of their CMAT Score or Graduation Percentage (if not given CMAT).
Step 2: Verification of Documents
The verification process of documents submitted by candidates will start on the DTE MP Portal. They can check their application status on that portal.
Step 3: Choice Filling
Candidates have to choose Prestige Institute of Management and Research from the given list of institutes. After finalising the preference list, they have to proceed forward to deposit the payment.
Step 4: Merit List Declared
The Merit List of selected candidates will be declared by the DTE on the predefined date.
Step 5: Online Seat Allotment
The online allotment of seats based on the merit list will be done by the DTE. Candidates can check the status on the official website of DTE. They can take a print out of the Allotment Letter.
Step 6: Apply for admission in PIMR
Candidates selected to get admission in PIMR must report at the official campus with their documents on the scheduled time and date. If any candidate fails to report at the campus, their admission will be cancelled by the DTE.
