Bachelors in Science (B.Sc Agriculture)
B.Sc Agriculture is a four-year-full-time undergraduate course. It aims at acquainting the students with different phases of agriculture and other specializations. The syllabus is wide with the perspective of Govt. job as well as industrial requirements. The Agro-industry sectors like food processing, dairy processing, grain and seed processing, feed manufacturing and service sectors like agricultural consultants, agriculture officers, agricultural statisticians in the bank and foreign agricultural services etc. Several agencies working at center, state and district levels appoint agricultural graduates.
The course divides into eight semesters and there are different criteria for admissions in this course. For students scoring above 90%, there is a direct admission criterion followed with a scholarship of 50% in tuition fees. Students scoring above 75% are eligible for direct admission with 25% scholarship in tuition fees. The students obtaining 60% marks in class 12th need to score 25% marks in any entrance exam like AIEEA, KCET, ICAR, and KEAM on 100 marks scale/DBS test to get an admission. For students who scored below 60% can get admission on a claimed seat on extracurricular credentials+12th marks+ DBS Test+ Interview.
