FMS Delhi Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

Once IIMs admissions are done, the next in the percentile columns are invited by FMS for GD & PI round. Hence proven, that FMS is next to IIMs. At FMS, one thing which I think I should make clear is that all the running has to be done by the students. In management studies, there is no spoon-feeding, but all students get is a wooden spoon. Once the first semester went by, we had it easier because adjusting here took a while, but once we did, and then everything looked regular. The placements from FMS are a delight as not it were 100% but also placements as good as IIMs. The infrastructure was perplexing because this is the only area where it can't be compared to any B-Schools. It's a small old campus with hardly any facilities that modern B-Schools have. A few mysteries were untangled like why students doing management studies are paid so heavily. The first thing that we were taught at FMS was that only our initial salary depends on which College we have passed out from, because at the end of the day, our performance will determine how far we will go in future.Read Full Review

You need a top score and you have to be at your best to clear the GD & PI round which are as important. Faculty of Management Studies is at par with IIMs in many aspects and placements certainly is one of them. The college always ranks in top 10 B-Schools of the country and as a proud alumnus of FMS, I am glad that the college has maintained the rankings for decades now. If you look at ROI which is what we were taught as Finance students, the ROI of FMS is far better than any. The total fees during our time was 1.6 lakhs for 2 years. The average placements were 9 lakhs during our time. The numbers are here and one can Google it if they doubt. FMS campus is a major drawback as there are facilities but not the modern-day feel that most of the colleges have these days. Even the colleges that are 40-50 years old have rebuilt their infrastructure but FMS was last renovated in 2008 and it’s time that the college redesign some of its labs and include some missing features. Overall FMS Delhi is a great package because placements, exposure, and all was in abundance at the college.Read Full Review

'FMS' is not known for placements because the program that they have started is there to create our ventures and provide jobs. My review is based on FMS, which is after talking to various students of XLRI, IIMK, IIMB, and MDI. Those Institutes teach on how to get a job while FMS is different as coming from a business family job was never my top agenda. My father was pretty clear that I will have to join his business after my studies and engineering background wouldn't have helped me to understand business management. I was eligible for XLRI, SIBM, and other top Institutes, but FMS being in my city, it was more viable for me to choose FMS over the others. FMS fees was the lowest of them all, as during our time the fees was 20k a year.Read Full Review
