NIT Surathkal Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

My experience at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is great. There are a lot of things to do in this institute. Other than academic work it provides lots of other opportunities and activities for the student such as sports, singing and many other things. As we also know that NITK comes under top 20 institutes in India, which makes it the Institute of National Importance. The academic level and the placement are so good here which makes me and also others to join the institute. NITK Surathkal is one of the most precious institutes. After admission, I love it very much. Firstly, the infrastructure is superb. The academic structure is also very good and is upgrading day by day with this modern world. The fee structure is very affordable. One special factor is that it has its own private beach. I am currently a 2nd year student in B.Tech EEE branch at NITK. So coming into this institute was never decided. The story begins with a student preparing for IIT did well in MAINS have CRL 7384 but then bored and messed up in ADVANCE and ends up with a bad rank. From the ADVANCE rank I was not able to get to a good IIT so decide going for NIT instead. Now while deciding the institute I had 2 options going for best NIT with electrical as branch as per rank or going to decent NIT with CS. I was like not much into coding so I decided to go for the first option primarily for 3 reasons the best NIT will offer me relatively more intelligent students and secondly I will get exposure to other branch as I read from Google that the EEE branch is chill and last language problem is lesser here. Then I came to institute, it is a beautiful campus with greenery. it has been 3 semester in institute and like every institute this also has both pros and cons when it comes to compare it to top IITs but no institute other than that is even close to discuss.Read Full Review
