Experience of Freshmen in NITK Surathkal

Overall Rating
NITK Surathkal is one of the most precious institutes. After admission, I love it very much. Firstly, the infrastructure is superb. The academic structure is also very good and is upgrading day by day with this modern world. The fee structure is very affordable. One special factor is that it has its own private beach. If you are getting a seat here, you are a lucky person in my experience.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Mining Engineering. I preferred this branch because it has numerous benefits. For admission, you must score above 200 in JEE Main exam (general category). It has best academic facilities for all students with scholarship facilities, especially for girls and below line category students. The courses provided will be best for further life.
The fee structure in NITK Surathkal for my B.Tech degree is around 1 Lakh per semester, which are around 9 to 10 Lakh rupees for 4 years with all expenses.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are highly educated and experienced in all fields related to their subjects with well-educated assistants as well. Some faculties use blackboard and most of them are teaching through PPTs. For ratio, in my batch, we have 54 students and there are 15 active faculty members in my department now. The faculties are friendly in nature. Their way of teaching is very good we all love them very much.
 

Infrastructure Rating
All the facilities, which are required for an active student, are provided here. There is a big 2 sports complex, which has billiards, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, and others. There is a separate international swimming pool for inter-NIT competitions. There is as huge free medical hospital for all students. Other than that, there are 2 big libraries and 2 high profile GYMs.
 

Campus Rating
I'm experiencing the college life in NITK. The college crowd is friendly in nature and intelligent as well. There are so many clubs like music club, aerospace club, dance, artist, entrepreneurship club, P & L, photography, astronomy, etc. there are total 30 to 40 clubs. There is a huge tech fest called ‘Engineer’ and a huge cultural fest called ‘Incident’ with a unique crowd of 50k people in each event. These events are conducted for four days in the campus. My overall experience is great.

    My experience at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is great. There are a lot of things to do in this institute. Other than academic work it provides lots of other opportunities and activities for the student such as sports, singing and many other things.     I am currently a 2nd year student in B.Tech EEE branch at NITK. So coming into this institute was never decided. The story begins with a student preparing for IIT did well in MAINS have CRL 7384 but then bored and messed up in ADVANCE and ends up with a bad rank. From the ADVANCE rank I was not able to get to a good IIT so decide going for NIT instead.     NITK is the second ranked NIT after NIT Trichy. Its teachers, alumni and students make it a college worth studying in. It is located alongside the calm coastal Surathkal beach with Arabian Sea increasing its beauty. If you get any branch in NITK, it is worth preferring it over other tier 2 NITs.... Read Full Review

    I am studying at Nation Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. As I am here for 2 months, I am experiencing a very good culture, nature, and infrastructure here. Students come here from all over the India as this college is one of top 5 NITs. I chose this particular college because of its environment and all other things like faculties and all.
