Life at National Institute of Technology Karnataka

Overall Rating
National Institute of Technology, Surathkal is one among the most reputed NITs in India. It has made its name in the top 5 engineering college list. The placements, internships, fests and events are all well organised and well versed. The college is known for its contributions through projects and so many other aspects.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility for entering NITK is that we have to clear at least JEE MAINS entrance examination. So based on the rank you will get the courses to choose during the seat allotment process. The courses are well versed and the faculties are well experienced in the teaching process of the respective course.
 

Faculty Rating
There are many faculties in NITK who are well versed in the knowledge. There are different faculties in the theory teaching field, research field, and laboratories section. The faculty helps and supports the students in their projects and research. The faculties are very much supportive in NITK. The faculties in NITK are more than 15 years of experience.
 

Placement Rating
In the process of placements NITK ranks the top among much college in India and even in abroad. The companies arriving for the placements in NITK are of a great demand in many other colleges. The top reputed and recognised companies like Google, Microsoft, and so on come to NITK for the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel in NITK are well furnished with tables, chairs, cupboards, fans, lights, etc for each and every room. The hostel is divided into many blocks based on the levels of graduation of the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The research blocks are well facilitated with the instruments required for research. The buildings and the academic blocks are well furnished and have sufficient classrooms for the students and even there are seminar halls in each and every building. There is the facility of big and vast library with books related to each and every course.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is fully filled with joy, entertainment, fests, events, club events, sports, etc. The institute also celebrates all the festivals in the campus. There are competitions organised for each and every fests and events. The biggest fest in NITK is the INCIDENT and ENGI fest. DJ Nights are also organised in the college.

    My experience at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is great. There are a lot of things to do in this institute. Other than academic work it provides lots of other opportunities and activities for the student such as sports, singing and many other things.     NITK Surathkal is one of the most precious institutes. After admission, I love it very much. Firstly, the infrastructure is superb. The academic structure is also very good and is upgrading day by day with this modern world. The fee structure is very affordable. One special factor is that it has its own private beach.     I am currently a 2nd year student in B.Tech EEE branch at NITK. So coming into this institute was never decided. The story begins with a student preparing for IIT did well in MAINS have CRL 7384 but then bored and messed up in ADVANCE and ends up with a bad rank. From the ADVANCE rank I was not able to get to a good IIT so decide going for NIT instead.     NITK is the second ranked NIT after NIT Trichy. Its teachers, alumni and students make it a college worth studying in.     I am studying at Nation Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. As I am here for 2 months, I am experiencing a very good culture, nature, and infrastructure here. Students come here from all over the India as this college is one of top 5 NITs. I chose this particular college because of its environment and all other things like faculties and all.
