Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women Chennai Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

There are 3 major blocks Science, Arts, and ‘Natiya’ block. Natiya Block is for classical dance. The most loved place in Dr. MGR-Janaki College was the library. We had access to take books from library; it had a good stock of books from different genre. 2 auditorium, a conference hall, and subject specific labs were present in the campus. The institute had 2 canteens. Overall, the college’s infrastructure was good but can be improved further.

I was impressed with the college vibe here. There are different clubs like Rotary, RRC, NCC, art & culture, and sports, which students can opt based on their different interests. Many festivals are celebrated here in the college campus, such as Holi, Pongal, Christmas, etc. The College organizes variety of events, ensuring that there is an option for every student to learn apart from academics. Honestly, I was not very fond of my college earlier, it seemed like they had really strict rules later got to know that this college was very nice, supportive, and friendly compared to other colleges. This was a place where we learned and enjoyed many things.Read Full Review

Infrastructure of Dr. MGR. Janaki College of Arts and Science is very good and well maintained. There will be full green trees, birds and other pet animals around the campus which give pleasant feel and peace of mind. The campus size is very large and spacious. Classrooms are of compact size. The benches and chair are not well maintained. There is a big library and it is accessible to everyone but the books are outdated and limited access is provided. The seminar hall and auditorium is big and air conditioned. There are 3 canteens which are good and affordable. I love my teachers who are supportive and friendly.

Personally my campus life was average. As I mentioned earlier there are no fests or extra activities organized. It may get boring sometimes because there is no mode of entertainment. The college crowd is very big. Yes, there are several clubs like youth club, red cross club, blue cross, sports club, IT club, etc.Read Full Review
