Campus: Hostel and Infrastructure Facilities at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bicholim

First of all, choose PCB in 11th and then NEET is the entrance exam for entering into any medical course. Admission is based on state counselling. In this course we get clinical experience from 1st year itself. We learn about medicine subject + physiotherapy subjects. The exam pattern is semester wise like first we have terminal exams and then prelims and then university exams which include both theory and practical separately.

A general category fee at Goa Medical College and Hospital for my course is Rs. 21,000 per semester. The candidate belonging to OBC, ST and SC get 50% concession. There are also pg seats available.Read Full Review

Lesser known facts about Goa Medical College and Hospital

The entry is via NEET examination. The cutoff for my batch was around 590. This is through the all India quota but the state quota general cutoff was at 499. India has a huge shortage of doctor as per our population and being able to help patients is what motivates everyone who enrolls in this program.

My views on Goa Medical College

The course curriculum is competency-based and includes group discussions, clinical and practical demonstrations, self directed learning, etc. It is a 5 year course including 1 year of internship. The eligibility criteria are classes 10+2 with minimum 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). The selection is based on the NEET UG scores.
