IIT Mandi Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

My Institute is Situated About 14 KMs Away from Mandi on bank of Uhl River. As for infrastructure & amenities, we can start from the Institute’s guest house which is in the shape of a semi sphere and is spacious. A sports complex and health centre is provided in the campus. Coming to the hostels, the rooms are spacious for 4 members. In every hostel, a common room is provided. Table tennis court and balconies are also provided for every hostel.

You can’t get this type of campus life in any other Institute. The hostels are very clean and hygienic. There will always be a new moment you didn’t experience last time from sunrise to sunset. There is a central library which has all types of books.Read Full Review

As mentioned multiple times, infrastructure is new and creative. There are present different buildings for all departments. There is total twenty academic buildings in North campus and almost 15 academic buildings in South campus. IIT Mandi has Entrepreneurship cell, different types of labs, school, SBI bank, career & placement cell, sports complex, auditorium, and many blocks that are more special. There is a playground of cricket, hockey, volleyball, basketball, squad, and badminton. It is situated between beautiful mountains and the view is so amazing. It is like a tourism place. There is the facility of transport for students between both campuses and Mandi city.

Campus life is excellent due to its natural beauty and having the tag of IIT. Several fests are celebrated their such as ‘Expecto’ ( annual tech fest) celebrated in the month of March, ‘Exodia’ (annual cultural fest) celebrated in April, ‘RannNeeti’ which is a sports fest celebrated in the month of November, ‘Aavishkar’ is the technical fest that shows innovation, research, and technical projects of students. There is almost three thousand students total. Its campus is beautiful but area of campus is less with respect to other IITs. It has several students clubs (tech, cultural, riding, social, sports) funded by institute such as Robotronics, E-cell, MTB (riding club), programming, SAE, Aeroclub, music, dance, drama, agreeks, NSS etc. Ragging or any type of discrimination is not allowed here. After 12 AM, 1st year B.Tech girls are not allowed to go outside the hostel, timing for rest of the girls is 2 AM. Not all students can leave campus after 10 PM without permission. There are separate block for academics, sports, hostel area of students and faculty residence. Generally academic blocks are bigger than others. There is also a sport complex in which all sport halls are present which includes swimming, badminton, lawn tennis, etc. There is also a health center where every week, one specialist doctor come and conduct daily health check up of the students.

College life at IIT Mandi is full of fests like inter IITs, tech fests, etc. Everyone take part in these fests and enjoy. These are full of fun and are also knowledgeable which would helps us in learning things. Events like these also help us interact with people and increase our connections.
