IIT Mandi: Located in the Foothills of the Himalayas

Overall Rating
I had joined Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi on 1st of August and these past 4 months have given me the most unforgettable memories of my life. We went for trekking in the nature with our faculty. We have a small town beside the campus. There is a supermarket inside the campus and stalls like Nescafe and juice point beside the river. There are buses connecting to South and North campus and to the town which is 20 to 30 kms away.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose is B.Tech. I had also chosen Japanese language because, I was very curious to learn a new language and culture of that particular Country. Moreover, I had chosen Introduction to Consciousness and Holistic Wellbeing included in the curriculum for the students to learn the importance of balancing technical skills with wisdom. Another one is Environmental Science. In this course, we come to know about how the environment and Science is combined in real life.
For my particular course there is a specific fee allotted. The fee for my chosen course is Rs. 43,910/- per semester, because my family income is less than Rs. 1,00,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
We have got a very friendly faculty. They conduct doubt sessions weekly especially for Calculus. We can approach the faculty when we have doubts. We are blessed to have such a faculty. They conduct a tutorial session to know the students’ capability. Faculty motivates us every time. They have so much of knowledge and skills.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, IIT Mandi has an active Placement Cell that helps the students get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi provides hostel facilities to boys and girls separately.
 

Infrastructure Rating
My Institute is Situated About 14 KMs Away from Mandi on bank of Uhl River. As for infrastructure & amenities, we can start from the Institute’s guest house which is in the shape of a semi sphere and is spacious. A sports complex and health centre is provided in the campus. Coming to the hostels, the rooms are spacious for 4 members. In every hostel, a common room is provided. Table tennis court and balconies are also provided for every hostel.
 

Campus Rating
You can’t get this type of campus life in any other Institute. The hostels are very clean and hygienic. There will always be a new moment you didn’t experience last time from sunrise to sunset. There is a central library which has all types of books.

    I am a CSE B.Tech student of IIT Mandi. This branch is a new and yet it is well structured, and beautiful. It is situated between stunning mountains in a beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh.   • IIT Mandi: One of the best tier 2 IIT

    IIT Mandi is a second generation IIT, established in 2009. Since then, it has been growing consistently. Post covid-19 pandemic, it has developed very abruptly. It is situated between mountains and a river nearby, remote from city though with excellent facilities like research labs, amazing sports facilities and many academic courses.     The overall experience of IIT Mandi is very serene and breath-taking. It is nested in the Shivalik range of the Himalayas and is allegedly the most beautiful IIT in India.     Indian Institute of technology, Mandi is a good Institute for engineering and science. You have to be much qualified to take admission here. According to me it's a fabulous Institute. After studying from here you don't require to look back. Here's atmosphere helps you to do something different. Teachers' are also helpful and friendly.
