My experience in this college is very good. Professor is very fantastic for electrical branch. One of the reasons I choose IIT Ropar is that I am getting circuital branch here which is very helpful at the time of internship and placements. Here mess food is also very tasty which is rare to get in mess. All students from every state will love the mess food.

I chose Electrical Engineering. Here we have to study about digital electronics which I love the most and one of the hardest courses is of Electro-Mechanics where we learn about three phase transformers. In IIT Ropar we get admission by the rank of JEE Advance. I got 5005 rank and I easily got admission. My motive of choosing this institute is that I want a circuital branch so that I got preference in SDE companies at the time of internship and placements.

Professors are very nice and very helpful. They treat us like their children. All professors are highly educated and highly qualified and have good knowledge in their respective courses. Most of the professors are ex-students of IITs and thus, they know the feelings of students. Teaching style vary from professor to professor. Some teaches on the big screen, and some teaches by their handwritten notes.

Yes, we have a Placement Cell. It is one of the reasons for the great placements. They ensure that every student gets placed. They call companies and ask them to visit college.

Yes, we have residential facilities also. In 1st and 2nd year we have double sharing rooms. From 3rd year onwards we get single rooms. We have all facilities in hostels. We have no restrictions at entry time in hostels. We can roam around at any time in the campus. We have lift facilities in hostels.

As my institute was started its journey in 2008, so all buildings are well furnished. We have separate blocks for every branch. All are well equipped with new technologies. IIT is funded by government, so we have all type of technologies required for deep knowledge in research field also. Hostels are new and have all facilities. We have around 300 computers in CS Labs.

Campus life is wonderful. We have very beautiful campus and as IITs is known for greenery we have total five gardens where we can spend time with our friends and enjoy the free time. The only negative thing is that market is around 4 km away from the campus and we don’t have shops outside the campus. We have all types of clubs from dance to singing to sports to software to literature to art and craft. We organize one of the biggest fests in north India name zeitgeist which happens every week for three days. We have one the famous inter-IIT competition and other sports competition also. We get opportunities to take part in tech fest that organized in different IITs.
