The overall view of my college was good. Coming from an academics point of view it is excellent. I feel as if I am going to school and not college. Here the professors are strict. All the assignments have to be completed on time. I got admission after giving the GATE exam. It is one of the good engineering colleges in Pune not only for B.E but also for master engineering. But, B.E students have much scope as compared to M.E students. More companies come for the B.E students and they recruit this kind of people with high packages. Coming to ranking PCCoE is ranked as 45th good engineering college all over India. The B.E students are compelled to wear uniforms But I was doing M.E here. So, I was not wearing a uniform. The student has to attend classes on time.

Well talking about the academics I had joined Heat power engineering. I had done M.E in Heat power. To join this course I had given the GATE entrance exam. We need to score a positive number in GATE in order to take admission. The teachers were good we did not have any problem. We three were having cabin teaching for maximum times. But we did not complain. In fact, we enjoyed it in the first year; of course this course is quite helpful in getting a job. Well, Heat power engineering students usually get jobs in teaching fields. There is less scope in the industry.

The faculties in PCCoE are excellent. The faculties who were teaching M.E students have done PhD from IIT. They teach the heat power subjects both inboard and through PowerPoint presentations. Even in class, they used show nptel videos to enhance our knowledge. They pay equal attention to each and every student. They even give assignments and those assignments need to be completed within time. The faculties are well experienced. They have both practical and theoretical knowledge. Being heat power students they used to give practical assignments like calculating heat load calculations etc.

Well coming about the training and placement it is good. But it is good only for B.E students. It's not that good for M.E students. Well in mechanical Engineering we have both design and heat power. For the design students, some companies had come and they recruited. Some students were recruited in 3dplm, Cummins. But there was no scope or no companies had come for heat power engineering. Well in our previous batch only Cummins had recruited two students. Well talking about me when I was giving dissertation I was offered to work in Deodhar Consultancy. It's good company, but as it was much far from my home I rejected the proposal. I was interested in teaching. So, I left that and joined a college after passing from PCCoE.

To be honest I was not staying in a hostel. I was staying near to my college. So, it was not required but, my friends were staying in a hostel. The hostel facilities were good. The girl's and boys' hostel was separate. The girl's hostel was inside the campus. The food quality was not superb but it was good. Talking about the security it was good. As I was staying outside I was not allowed to enter the hostel premises. There are a total of 85 rooms in the lady's hostel for 250 students. The warden is strict. After 9pm no one is entered inside the hostel. If anyone has some serious problem and wants to enter after 9pm then she has to take permission.

The campus size is around 13 acres. All the departments are separate. I belong to the Mechanical Engineering department. That department was separate from other departments. The library is quite big and it has all the books which are necessary for studying Engineering. I didn't have to buy books while studying. All the books and reference books were available in library. In the college campus store was there where all the stationary items are available. The Xerox facility was also available, so; whenever I needed to do photocopies then I used to run the store. The college has playground facilities. Students used to play cricket, basketball, etc. But as I had no interest in games I did not play. Whenever I used to get time I gossip with my friends in the cafeteria. The college has even medical facilities too.

The campus life was good. It has a good cafeteria. The food available in the canteen is not excellent but it was good, self service is followed in the canteen. Year in and year out fests are arranged where students used to show their talent. I was not that good student, so, I had not participated in fest. The functions or gathering are continued for seven days. People used to gather and celebrate. Students participated in dance, music, song, debate, writing, etc. Girls used to wear saris or they used to make different dress codes for the seven days. That time students don't study. They make a lot of fun and show their talent. Even those who stood first in the University exam are awarded prize money.
