PCCoE Pune has Good Placements

Overall Rating
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune is one of the best Engineering Colleges in Pune and is managed by Pimpri Chinchwad Educational Trust. They offer you an experience of good academics, culture, College events and placement while holding onto strict discipline in the College premises. The College is situated near Akurdi railway station and has a wide range of connectivity from auto and buses nearby. There is an easy access to the essential shops, medical etc. We have uniform and the College takes strict actions if discipline is not maintained.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing B.Tech in IT. It has a very high cut-off for CS and related branches. Admission takes place based on your MHT-CET or JEE Main score, and is done via centralized CAP rounds (3 CAP round) and 1 last spot round to fill in vacant seats based on merit. About the exams, there are two internal exams and one final summative exam per semester. The academics is very good and it is updated as per the industry needs.
The fee for open category was around Rs. 1,40,000/- to Rs. 1,45,000/- for each year. There is 50% waiver on tuition fee for OBC, EBC and EWS candidates and for SC/ST there is a very nominal fee. Government scheme for EBC is available for students having financial issues and many other private Scholarships are also there.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is very good and has a lot of experience of at least 10 years. Most of the faculty holds a Ph.D. and has a good knowledge of their core subjects. The method of teaching is mostly PPTs, activities, and visits. Faculty guides you at each and every step and also encourages and motivates you to participate in activities held outside the College. Some faculties are too good and help you out every time you reach out to them for academic as well as the other things.
 

Placement Rating
The average package of my branch is around 8 LPA to 10 LPA. The Training and Placement Cell of PCCoE Pune is very active and Dr. Shital Kumar Rawandale sir has brought many companies to College for placements. For our batch it provided DSA preparation for free from an expert.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are two girls and one boys’ hostel in our College. It has all the basic facilities like fan, bed, cupboard, etc. Cleanliness and hygiene of rooms is very good. Boys’ hostel even has ACs. Annual hostel fee including mess is Rs. 1,20,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/-. Hostel has strict rules, and in timing for boys is till 10:00 PM and for girls till 9:00 PM. Mess food quality should be improved. It gives breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening tea & snacks.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are five buildings in campus. The campus is medium sized with two grounds and benches, it has one central library and each department has its own library. There are two seminar halls, one in Architecture building and one in Mechanical. Classrooms have big capacity of 80 students and have good infrastructure, projector, and white board. There are two canteens in College. Security at each gate. There is a good amount of greenery in College.
 

Campus Rating
Overall experience at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune is good. There are many clubs like NSS, ITSA, IEEE, etc. Every year annual gathering is held in month of January or February famous by the name ‘Swartarang’ a two day event and 'PRAXIS' in IT department, prior to which is a week of Bollywood day, DJ night and Traditional day. Other than this, each department organizes its own technical and non-technical events in month of February and March.

    So basically, the college is known for its placement record. Recently, our college got about 1000 students placed in different companies with the highest packages of 63 LPA.   • PCCoE has some pros and cons

    The overall view of my college was good. Coming from an academics point of view it is excellent. I feel as if I am going to school and not college. Here the professors are strict. All the assignments have to be completed on time. I got admission after giving the GATE exam. It is one of the good engineering colleges in Pune not only for B.E but also for master engineering.   • PCCOE is for those who can bear discipline

    For me personally PCCOE was one of the best engineering colleges in Pune that I have seen. There are many other engineering colleges in Pune like COEP, MIT WPU Faculty of Engineering, and Symbiosis Institute of Technology among other. There are pros and pros but few cons like the college is like a school where the discipline of certain level has to be maintained.
