CMR University, Bangalore - Overview

Overall Rating
College is nice, with good campus, environment, and the main advantage is it is located near ITPL, where most of the companies are present. With an average KCET rank, you can go for this college. My rank was 11.6k so got an SNQ seat. Thus, I went for this college. And I advise you to go for this college.
 

Academics Rating
CMRIT, Bangalore is one of the top colleges in Bangalore situated near ITPL, i.e. Kundalahhli. If you have decent rank you can go for this college. College is decent. Courses like (BE) CSE, ISE, ECE, AIML, AIDS, etc. are good. But CSE and ISE are main top branches of the college. As I am ISE branch student, I can tell about my branch.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are good, but attendance is very important when you enter in your second year of engineering. Minimum you have to maintain at least 60% to eligible to write IAT (Internal Assessment Test). So we have average of three internals in semester. We also have TYL (Tie Your Laces) i.e., students who clear TYL exams are eligible for drives.
 

Placement Rating
I am second year student so placement mainly depends on individuals. We have a TYL (Tie Your Laces) which is basic eligibility criteria to sit for placements, in which we have both aptitude (A1, A2, and A3) and programming test (P1, P2, and P3). Students who pass all of these tests are eligible for placement drive.
 

Hostel Rating
As I live in PG, I don't know much about hostel. But my classmate stays in hostel. He said that hostel is good with good food. Rooms are also good. But fees is little bit more.
 

Infrastructure Rating
CMRIT Bangalore has a good infrastructure, with nice campus. Library is present with all branches books. During internals it is open up to 11PM so you can study there. Coming to buildings, we have an around 4 blocks, i.e. basic science block and branch blocks. There is playground, where we can play sports.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs in CMRIT. We can join any of them and can become volunteer. We also have a fest called as cultura where all colleges across Bangalore come and participate in every event. At last day of cultura, we have DJ night, which is very enjoyable. Overall the college campus life is good.

    Good college for engineering. If you are average in studies, because of the training you get here, will get improvement in academics.     If your KCET rank is around 50k you can obviously choose CMR. It has good placements from last few years. College is placed in perfect location which is surrounded by ITPL and Marathahalli. As my rank was 13k I got admitted in SNQ quota. Students with good rank and with income less than 3 lakh are eligible for SNQ.... Read Full Review

    Bangalore has nearly 100 Universities and half of them are crap. CMR University is a big name but honestly doesn’t even deliver half of what is expected. I entered the University with big goals and dreams. I was all excited to learn and shine in my career. CMRU for sure had some other plans in store as it stripped us from all that was expected.
