CMR University, Bangalore - Good college in Bangalore

Overall Rating
If your KCET rank is around 50k you can obviously choose CMR. It has good placements from last few years. College is placed in perfect location which is surrounded by ITPL and Marathahalli. As my rank was 13k I got admitted in SNQ quota. Students with good rank and with income less than 3 lakh are eligible for SNQ.
 

Academics Rating
It has one of the best academic cultures. It has only tech related branches such as CSE, ISE, etc. There is no choice of EEE, Mechanical, or Civil Branch. Students with CGPA above 7 are allowed to sit for campus placement. You will have to pass separate examinations conducted by college that is related to aptitude.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are well trained and most of them are Ph.D holders. They are always ready to help us. Attendance is very important to attend IATS. Students should maintain 75% attendance in each subject to become eligible for exam. They even support students to up skill and participate in other competitions.
 

Placement Rating
If the student has 7 and above CGPA. He is eligible and has to clear all TYL tests.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has good infrastructure surrounded by trees. It is pleasant to roam around. There is a dedicated basketball court and a big ground for cricket and other sports. Canteen is also good but there is always crowd. It is difficult to purchase during lunch breaks. There is enough parking for vehicles.
 

Campus Rating
Cultura is the grand fest that is organised every year. There is a sports fest every year called spardha. There are lots of club technical and non technical. Students can engage in club activities that are conducted often. Some of the clubs are Aarohan, Muses, Mindspark, Google, DSC, Rotoract, Iris, Geeks For Geeks, Coding Ninja, etc.

    Bangalore has nearly 100 Universities and half of them are crap. CMR University is a big name but honestly doesn’t even deliver half of what is expected. I entered the University with big goals and dreams. I was all excited to learn and shine in my career. CMRU for sure had some other plans in store as it stripped us from all that was expected.
