I spent one and half year in the college campus and due to the pandemic I am attending my college online but I don’t find any major gap between me and my college other than attending college physically and experiencing the most beautiful campus. I am third year student of mechanical department. As everyone knows engineering is all about practical knowledge and experience; no doubt DYPCOE takes this very seriously. The labs are fully equipped and well organized which improves the experience of practical learning. Sports, events and extracurricular activities boost the overall development of students and this makes DYPCOE stand out in other engineering colleges in Pune.

Academic is the most important factor while considering any college. In four years of engineering we come across almost 48 subjects and 8 semesters in total so it is very important to have practical understanding of subjects and DYPCOE does the same. Faculty member not just focus on theoretical understanding of students but also introduce them practically with the subjects and respective topics. Regular class tests really help the students to monitor their academic growth. Remedial makeup classes and regular assignments keep students in touch with their academics. Departments organize regular mock tests and mock practicals to introduce students with exam situation.

DYPCOE has the finest and the most experienced teaching and non-teaching staff. Many professors are PhD holders in respective subjects and they have very keen knowledge of respective subjects. Faculty members are always there to guide and mentor the students with their knowledge and experience. Teacher guardians are assigned to groups of students to keep the records and monitor the growth of each individual. Experienced lab assistants enhance the learning experience with their knowledge and well maintained practical labs. And no doubts why DYPCOE is always there in the list of university toppers. Teachers always try to engage students with assignments and projects.

Some of the biggest and reputed companies visit college campus every year for recruitment. All these companies are from various sectors and thus students from every department get good opportunities every year. College has separate training and placement department which takes care the placement opportunities of students. Training and placement department makes student industry ready with various trainings and courses. Soft skills classes are arranged for students in their scheduled time table to improve their opportunities to get placed. Some companies like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS visit campus every year. And it is said that students with good academics and required skills have 100% chances to get placed.

There are two separate hostels one for boys and another for girls. There are three types of rooms available in hostel such as single sharing, double sharing and triple sharing. Girls' hostel is just in front of college campus but boys' hostel is at certain walking distance. I personally find hostel a bit expensive but looking at the facilities one can easily neglect the price factor. The rooms and total surrounding of hostel is very neat and clean. Regular maintenance of rooms takes place. Facilities such as common study room, entertainment room are also included. Hostel mess is always kept clean and hygienic. Food quality is very appreciable. We get three meals per day with tea/coffee.

In case of infrastructure I personally feel no other college can compete with DYPCOE. Classrooms are big enough with projectors and other facilities. There are two auditoriums in campus with full facilities. Study room gives very good sense for working and learning and also during exams study room is kept open 24*7 which is really good for students. Library is big enough and it is fully digitalized and has plenty of books for every topic. To be honest gym facility is not there and also sports room is not that big but sports ground I big enough to conduct every sports. Sports committee is really very active and supportive. Campus has two canteens old one and new one and both are really good. Campus open amphitheatre is big and specious enough to conduct any special events.

College campus is really beautiful and very huge. Regular maintainace and hygiene keeps it beautiful and attractive. Big parking area, good security keeps the campus hustle free. Various committee and student organisations for every department conduct various events which give chance to every individual to stand out. Peaceful environment and enough security make the campus safe. Faculty helps you with academics and extracurricular activities keep you enthusiastic. Annual events are usually in the first week of February which includes sports events, DJ night and much more. The bond between senior and junior students is really healthy and cooperative. Every college has its negative and positive sides but every time DYPCOE proves itself to be the best and suitable for every student.
