Where do I start with DYPCOE? So many things to tell, so many experiences, so many memories. I really wish I could go back to the day I took admission and relive it all again. I will be passing out of my engineering degree next year, 2022 itself. The lessons you learned in college life are always there with you throughout life. I have a bunch of stories in DYPCOE, some are good, and some are bad. We used to do some crazy things while we were studying in college. And now when I remember it all, it's really nostalgic. The pandemic has really missing me my college days. DY Patil College Akurdi has literally shaped me in many ways. Always going to be grateful to the college. The campus, the faculty staff, classes, etc. always added a thing or two in my knowledge.

A student will ignore anything but he'll look out for what a college offers academically. That's what I did when I chose to enroll in DYPCOE. The college offers great academic resources which provide bulk knowledge to students. In DYPCOE, to help students grow their knowledge the faculty assigns them different projects which need research and creativity. DYPCOE manages to take regular lectures and students are encouraged to attend those lectures on a regular basis. Because lectures are also necessary in the overall knowledge gaining process. One has to have good performance in both ways, practically and theoretically. DYPCOE has well managed its academic department that is the reason the college is ranking well in recent years.

I have only one thing to admit, that the faculty staff is very knowledgeable and helpful towards students. That's it. At some point in my degree, when I needed help academically, the faculty was really supportive towards me. I admit, there were some staff members whose teaching style I never liked. They have bulk knowledge with respect to their subject but their teaching style was something I never really understood. This is my personal opinion and that doesn't mean every faculty is like this. Most of the faculty has some of the finest staff. Everyone has their favorite and non-favorites and so do I. I am saying this just because I had some experience, that's it. That doesn't make DYPCOE any less of a college.

Though I am not sure if I will be placed in any company or not but sure, a great number of companies come to DYPCOE for placement. The college has a special department of faculty grooms students and gets them ready for placement. Almost 500 companies come every year to recruit students to work with them. A student who does well in his academics and overall 4 years of his degree definitely gets placed in one of the reputed companies. The departments that grooms the students for recruitment plays a great role in finishing the qualities of a student which he already has. The session makes them confident about their skills and it helps them in recruitment interviews.

The DYPCOE hostel is provided with many facilities that one can ask for. The rooms are neat and clean and the surrounding is also neat. DY Patil Akurdi Hostel Fees depends on room sharing which are made available as single sharing, double sharing and triple sharing. That way a student can make convenient choices for himself. I have a room which I share with 2 other students. The hostel has a common study room, entertainment room also. Students study and work on their assignments together in the study room. And when bored we have an entertainment room to relax our minds. The hostel fees is I think a bit high but when you see the facilities it provides, the price is not much of a concern then.

DYPCOE has quite good infrastructure. The college has good and clean classrooms. The classrooms are provided with many facilities like projectors and screens. The college has 2 auditoriums in which different event and functions are organized. The DYPCOE library is pretty good and big. DYPCOE has big sports grounds. It also has a sports room but it is quite small, they could have made it a bit large. They have a sports committee too which helps students to take active participation in any sports events. The college has a big study room where students study together. It has 2 canteens. I don't know about the food in canteen because I never ate there.

Many events and festivals used to be celebrated with amazing spirit and enthusiasm before the pandemic. But now it's not possible though. The college has well security that avoids the invaders to enter the college premises. Various departments and different committees conduct events or workshops regularly which prevent students from getting bored by only doing academics studies. Different sports and extra activities are arranged in the college campus to keep students cheerful and have a time to themselves for enjoyment. The DYPCOE campus is very likely to be pleasant and good looking. The environment in campus is healthy. The senior and juniors also have a good bond between them.
