D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi [DYPCOE], Pune Maharashtra was established in the year 1984 as Private Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Engineering. DYPCOE is approved by the reputed AICTE, accredited by NBA and NAAC-A, and is affiliated with SPPU, Pune.
With the vision of Empowerment through Knowledge, the D. Y. Patil College of Engineering has been imparting Engineering education since the year 1984. The institute has been set up under the umbrella of Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathishthan and is currently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune. It has been approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC. The institute runs with an aim to educate the students and make them professionally skilled engineers.

The candidates willing to enroll themselves into the Undergraduate or Postgraduate courses in the D. Y. Patil College of Engineering can apply either through the Management Quota (Institute Level Admissions) or through CAP (Centralised Admission Procedure). Admission through the Management Quota is done through the offline mode where the candidate must visit the college and fulfill the admission requirements.
The candidates may also apply through the online mode, that is, through CAP. The candidates must visit the State CET Cell website and fill up the Online Application Form to participate in the counseling.

The institute encloses a Training and Placement Cell which acts as a prominent part of the institute. The Dr. D Y Patil Prathisthan’s flagship college, the D Y Patil College of Engineering (DYPCOE), started operations during the year 1984 from Pimpri in Pune in India’s Maharashtra state. Later, in the year 2001, the College premises shifted to Akurdi that is near to Pune’s Industrial area and one of Asia’ largest industrial areas, Pimpri-Chinchwad. The College campus spans over 30 acres of land, conducting courses in 7 Engineering disciplines.
The College has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Also, the center is affiliated with the ‘Savitribai Phule Pune University’. Moreover, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have awarded ‘A’ rank to the College.
The aspirants who are looking to gain admission in the College should know that the DY Patil College of Engineering admission procedure is conducted on the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) or management quota basis.
As per the India Today Ranking 2017, the DY Patil College of Engineering ranking in India is pegged at 23rd Rank; and in the West Zone, secured 4th Rank rank.
The College offers a Wi-Fi enabled campus that is fully-equipped with modern infrastructure, in addition to residential facilities for pupils who hail from outside Pune.
