Overall Rating
My overall experience is good. My favourite place in the college is its library where you can spend your whole day with books. Wi-Fi facility is available there. I choose this college as I want to pursue my Masters in Physics and enhance my knowledge about my subject. College is famous for its material science research.
 

Academics Rating
You have to qualify IIT JAM to get admission in this college for master’s course. The course provided has body of applied physics and it makes you ready for industry purpose also. There are primarily two tests per semester (mid sem and end sem) but the number of tests also increase depending on the marks structure for that year. The exams are moderate. You can score well if you are studying along with the classes.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are highly motivated and qualified. They have good knowledge in their respective fields. Their teaching skills are good. They want to clear all the doubts of student in the classes. Mostly the teachers are from material science and electronics background. They are very supportive in your studies and also for your extra curriculum activities.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, but as most of the students go for higher studies, placements are low. Every year average 2-3 students got placements in coaching Institutes and 2-3 students got placements in industries.
 

Hostel Rating
College campus is nice. Mostly required facilities are available here. The Campus is beautiful and lot greenery is present. The Hostel facility is good. They provide 1 room per head for Master's course. You will get bed, chair, table, fan, and an Almirah. Food quality is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic buildings are well maintained. Teachers have their own cabin to deal with students and for their works. Also the classrooms are well maintained, there are projectors set up in the classrooms. Labs are well maintained and properly set up. The practical equipment are in working conditions and we perform all the practical by our own.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. The college is well connected with the railway station, market and all other required centres. Fests and events are organised regularly for proper involvement and development of the students. For masters student’s annual sports fest is Vihaang in which various outdoor sports, indoor sports, and several cultural events are organised every year.

    The overall college is really great. Major focus of college is towards academics and placements which is a good thing for an engineer. The college has a vast campus of over 215 acres so there's a lot to explore in the college. The professors here are a lot experienced and teach really great. Since it is a National institution a student gets a great outreach. The college has a great alumni network.     VNIT Nagpur is well above the standards in terms of facilities and clubs.. The faculties are really good at teaching their respective subjects, though some might not be the best.
