Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Netula Nithin

Hello guys I am currently studying Electronics and Communication Engineering, First year undergraduate at Visvesvaraya National institute of technology. Overall, the college is good. The good thing here is the college is located in the city, whereas some other nits are located far from the city, that’s a good thing about our college. And the good thing about the college is its greenery. As I am first year undergraduate, I proudly say that our college 100% ragging free. And the bad thing is our time to enter in hostel premises is 8pm. And gender ratio is also too bad 1:5 in our batch.

I am currently studying B.Tech in ECE. Here in ECE department the professors are very strict. One can join here by clearing JEE Mains with above 98 percentiles. And the motive behind joining in this course is as I could not get ECE in other top NITs. Placements are quite good in ECE department. Here in ECE department the curriculum is very good.

Most of our faculty members are PhD scholars. Our faculty members are well trained and excellent in teaching and the style of teaching is very good. Most of them had done PhD from abroad and few are from IITs. Here some faculty members are very strict, you have to listen what they say. But some faculty members are very friendly.

Infrastructure is very good.2 students are allotted to one room. Classroom infrastructure is excellent as it is newly built. There 2 boards and 2 projectors in one class. Hostel room is very big. The bad thing is there are no washing machines available in the hostel. Bathrooms are very clean and hygienic.

Campus Life is very good. There more than 4000 students in our college including B.Tech, M.Tech and research scholars. There are various clubs like Halla bol, shadow club, team tally, cycling club and other few. There are many fests that take place every year in our campus like the central India's largest cultural fest Aarohi, Axis, and cult nite. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated very grandly every year in our college. Sports complex is there which includes outdoor and indoor sports.
