One of the strict yet the best college of Engineering

Overall Rating
I secured a place in this reputed college of engineering post my diploma. VESIT is one of the best engineering colleges in Mumbai and I was quite fortunate to get a seat here. But one needs to get at least 85+ percentile to get into VESIT. My college was accredited by grade A almost every year. The admission process was online and quite understandable. The management was same as of any Engineering college, not so good. We always had a problem with the office staff.
 

Academics Rating
As I completed my diploma in Electronics and Communication, I joined the same course for my degree. I was quite lucky to get a seat in the same field as my percentile was high - 87.50%. The syllabus covered in our college was almost 90% because of which we did not have to slog at the end of the semester for notes. I got a great job opportunity under the big VESIT banner.
 

Faculty Rating
We had extremely strict faculty members. VESIT had an overall experience of above 100 years of teaching experience. Many of the lecturers and professors were PhD holders which was a plus point of our college. They taught us very well but at times the lectures did get boring. After all, Engineering was a tough course and we had to obey to our professors.
 

Placement Rating
It is said that VESIT has the best placement drive amongst all colleges. Almost 90% of the students are placed in the campus interviews itself which is great thing. I got placed in Atos which is one of the best IT companies. The placement and training cells officer coordinated the information well to the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college had a decent hostel facility. One of my friends stayed in the hostel room and I had visited her one day. The room was okay for living there. They had a common washroom on the floor but it was clean and tidy. And the hostel food was just like any other hostel food - watery and average in taste. The hostel was in the campus area only and had good ventilation facility.
 

Infrastructure Rating
My college was a real big one with a massive building spread widely in the campus area. The college building looked more like a school - old fashioned and typical. Similarly, the classrooms and the labs were more or less like a school. We had a huge playground where the sports events took place.
 

Campus Rating
Our campus life was not that happening as the college had some strict rules of not bunking the classes. But the college fest was really well-known. Students put up amazing plays every year for the college fest. I think that was the core of the event. I have some beautiful memories of our fests because that was the only time of the year when our college was lit and there were celebrations all over.

The factors that made me choose this institute is the institute is in Mumbai, its accepts CET scores and the cutoffs are high and overall decent placements in 2022.     The overall college experience is good. The facilities provided in the college are also good. All PCs are in working condition and everything is perfect you can join this college by CET.     My first interaction with the college was when I went to the Facilitation Centre for my document verification. The first thing I noticed was there were proper facilities for students and the staff was calm and helping with all the issues and was understanding the problems of out-of-state/city students.
