Indus University Insights from B.Tech Student

Overall Rating
Indus University is located in Rancharda, Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat. It is mostly known for its Aeronautics course. Furthermore, it is one of the well renowned private universities of the city. The university has a very big campus with strong infrastructure, enough amenities for students and faculty and great academic curriculum. My overall experience at the university until now has been wonderful because it provides all the facilities that a student could wish for from his/her university and that is exactly the reason why I chose this university.
 

Academics Rating
To enroll in any of the courses offered by this university, one must have 70% or above in 12th board exams and should have appeared for JEE or GUJCET. I enrolled in Computer Science stream of B.Tech because I am very much passionate towards computer science.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this university are very much skilled and knowledgeable. They always try to solve the doubts of students in lab and theoretical sessions so that every student understands the topics well. They teach the topics through PPT and refer textbooks for extra information. They teach in such a way that the topics are understood in the university itself, without the need to spend hours of studying at home and they even provide material to study for the exams.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the university does have a training & placement cell. This cell not only provides good placements for the students, but also good training to develop soft skills through extra lectures and also how to approach a job interview.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university does have residential facilities. I do not live in the hostel. Nevertheless, from what I know, there is a separate hostel for both boys as well as girls. The hostel also has a canteen beside hostel; residents can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hostel also has Wi-Fi connectivity.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of Indus University is well developed. There are many facilities in the university such as two parking lots, library, basketball court, badminton court, auditorium, cricket ground, canteen, well-equipped computer labs, Mechanical & Electrical workshops, and lecture halls with projectors.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of the university is great. There are many events organized round the year such as Collympics, Aethos, Instincts, student council elections, etc., which helps students enhance their talent. The university also has various clubs such as Photography Club, Cricket Club, Dance Club, Music Club, etc. All these events and clubs make campus life enjoyable for the students.

    Indus University is located in Rancharda, Ahmadabad. Many things about Indus University inspired me to take admission in Indus. Out of those things; one thing is that the college is located not much far away from my home.     Overall Rating
    Indus University offers a good experience, though the college lacks in campus life as a college must have a good campus, still the parking facility is amazing. Placements here in our college are average not that much beneficial, they offer medium package like around 3-4 lakh per year. Students in this college are quite friendly and maintain the decorum of the college; they do not entertain any other mischievous act that could harm any students.     My experience at Indus University is good. I was still expecting a better university than this the only reason behind this was that our college lacks in providing good placements. The placements in our college for average students are not more than 3.5 Lakh per annum. Also the campus of our college is not that vast.     Indus University is one of the good options for a university in Ahmedabad, considering the design section it's doing a phenomenal job. I chose IDS as it has an amazing team of leaders and mentors, I started my journey in 2019 and yet it had almost every facility one student can ask for, and it also got great responses from a lot of designing students.
