Indus University B.Tech Review By Mohit Parmar

My experience at Indus University is good. I was still expecting a better university than this the only reason behind this was that our college lacks in providing good placements. The placements in our college for average students are not more than 3.5 Lakh per annum. Also the campus of our college is not that vast. Though the students here are very well talented and they are more talented in other activities rather than academics. If one has to take admission here in our college I recommend to choose this college only if he is not getting admission in other good colleges.

There are various courses offered in our college, I have chosen B.Tech in IT the reason I have chosen this course is because I am interested in computer field since my childhood. The faculties in our college are fully dedicated they help students in every aspect; also they are well educated and provide good notes that always help me to score good in exams. In our college to take admission in computer field one must have to score minimum of 50% marks in 12 board. Indus University also conducts fests that include co-curricular activities, coding programs & eSports gaming tournament. Faculties help students in these events and if you perform well in this event you are selected for national level tournament.

Faculties are awesome in this college. They always help students if they are facing some problem. They prepare students very well for the examination. They conduct test, quiz and give assignments which help students to grasp the knowledge of the subject and help students to score good in examinations. Teachers also help students to prepare for national level tournaments like I give my example, my team was selected for HACKATHON which is national level coding tournament. Here the faculties helped me and my team whenever we needed irrespective of the time. They are highly qualified to teach. Overall the faculties were good currently I am in 6th semester and my experience says that faculties are nice here.

The past students who were in the placement round got good placements. The students are eligible for placement round after seventh semester. There is a separate department namely Training and placement department for Placements which look after placements rounds conducted in the college. Companies like Byju’s, Wipro, L&T come here. They offer an average package of Rs. 3 lakh per year and the highest package is Rs. 12 lakh per year.

Hostel in our college is pretty good and spacious. Rooms are spacious and 3 person to live in one room and the bathroom is common for all rooms. They provide Wi-Fi, a personal study table and a bed in the room. The rent of our hostel is around 11000 for non AC rooms and 13000 for AC rooms. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and in girls hostel a special security guard is allotted for security reasons. The food in our mess is also good. Students in hostel are provided with monthly pass. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner in the pass. Also you need to take permission if you want to go out of the college.

There are mainly two buildings in our college, one is main building where mostly official work is done and computer labs are present and the other building is Bhanwar Building where academic classes are held. The Bhanwar Building is pretty big with around five floors and each floor has around 8 classes, which reduces collision of classes with other branch students. The quality of food is average in canteen. Classrooms are big enough and equipped with fans and projectors. Computer labs are equipped with AC. There is one common ground for playing cricket, football, volleyball and basketball. There is free Wi-Fi in the campus students can have access to it.

As per my opinion the college campus is not that much vast enough. Though the campus has good parking facility but still lacks in spacious campus. The academics are average in our college but still better than other colleges here. Our Institute is good enough in organizing events. Events depend on the festival. One recent event was INSTINCTS in which extra-circular activities were there. Navratri is organized better than other institute. College has various clubs like Bulls and Bears club, Music club, Dance club, Coding club and many more. Though the experience in clubs is not that good.
