This educational institution covers a total area of approximately 650 acres. It is situated at the outskirts of Silchar city in Assam. For this reason, there are Silchar airport and Railway Station which are located ten kilometers away from college. The overall infrastructure is good enough but it has 20+ lakes in the campus that enhance its beauty and some hostels which are new and better with facilities but some others are old ones with average facilities. First year students were given single, double and triple sharing rooms here last year. Also second year students get double and triple sharing rooms while third/fourth year students mostly get single room accommodations. Additionally, the campus also has a gymnasium, sports complex, football/cricket ground as well as a tea garden.

While some of the faculties have exceptional qualifications, others are just average. The college is known for its research work and has earned a place among the best schools in this aspect. This requires students to attend classes all day long with attendance standing at 75 percent which can be challenging as they start from 8 am and finish at 5 pm or sometimes even later than that.

The distinguished faculties teaching come from topnotch colleges in India, such as the IITs, and from various international institutes. Most of the lecturers have a Ph.D. degree in their respective areas. Besides, tutorial sessions are conducted by scholars who have earned a Doctorate in Philosophy to dispel students’ confusion.

Campus placements are outstanding. In 2022, during the placement session, CSE had an average placement of 25 lakhs. Remarkably, the campus hosts a large number of companies such as Microsoft, Adobe and Amazon among others that constitute top recruiters. Additionally, college also has good placements.

On campus there are a total of twelve hostels providing double and triple occupancy rooms. New students are placed in either the Aryabhatt hostel or Boys Hostel 3 known for its single room options. The food, at the dining hall is decent. Moreover, there is a cafe and a canteen situated conveniently on campus. Some hostels offer gaming facilities while others have options as well.

The campus has a charm, with its buildings but there are also newer additions like the impressive new hostels and classrooms such as the recently built gallery. Moreover students benefit from amenities like the Fair Price Shop that caters to most of their needs. The campus boasts facilities such as a gym, football and cricket fields, a vibrant Student Activity Centre and even a charming tea garden. Additionally, there are more than 20 lakes dotting the campus.

In college you can join clubs, like the Photography club called Obvietto Music Club named Symphonits, Dramatics club known as Advay, Dance club called Aaveg Coding club ML Club and many others. The process of selecting students for coding related clubs usually happens in the year of studies. Moreover, the college organizes an event called Tecnoesis and a yearly cultural celebration known as Incandescence typically held in February.
