Overall Rating
I choose this course to become an engineer in Indian railway and choose this institute as it is near to my city also it is located in Bhubaneswar where lot of job opportunities are available and it is the best technical institute among all the state government college and as a government institute it costs less than that of the other college in the state.
 

Academics Rating
To join this course you need to have a valid JEE MAIN/OJEE rank card and you should have good rank then you need to apply in this college in the OJEE counseling and there if you got selected then only you can get a seat in this college. Eligibility of this course is just 12th pass and should have JEE MAIN rank card. Main motive to join this program is that if you want to become an engineer you should do this course.
 

Faculty Rating
As a state government technical institution there the teacher are well qualified and Ph.D scholar also. The entire faculty has done their M.Tech from the best technical institutes in India and abroad. All the teacher's teach good if you listen in the class carefully you can understand the topics properly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes it helps students in getting placement in various core and noncore companies. Amazon, Microsoft, Pradhan, Deloitte, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors are the some company offering placement in our campus with affordable package.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes We have residential facilities in our college but it is in less numbers that is 2 boy’s hostel and 2 girl’s hostel inside the campus and 1 boy’s hostel outside the campus for boys. As there is a less no of hostel so the selection is based on rank for the first year and CGPA for the later on years. Hostel infrastructure and maintenance is good also food is very good at that price. Hostel Life is very good if you stay you can feel that.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure design is very good and campus is environmental friendly as it is full of trees but the buildings are not painted since 3 years so it's looking like old design and as a government institute. It will take time to solve this problem. The renovation work is going on and in 2-3 year it will be looking like a university.
 

Campus Rating
Institute is not very crowded as there is 1000 students in a batch but not less crowded also. Various fests like Xtasy, Perception, and Zarzula are taking place in the month of March, December, and November respectively. Club like Zairza, Energy, Spectrum, TDA, and EWB are the various technical and cultural clubs you can join. Various sports like football, basketball, volleyball, and cricket are also played in the college.

    According to my point of view Odisha University of Technology and Research is a vast college, covering a wide area of approximately 100 acres. Our Honorable Chief Minister Mister Naveen Pattnaik funded college to improve the infrastructure and he said that OUTR will be like IIT'S in the future 5 years.     OUTR (Odisha University of Technology and Research) formerly CET (College of Engineering and Technology) is one of the best state government technical university of Odisha. It is located in Bhubaneswar, near Khandagiri. If you look for overall review then it would be 7.5 out of 10. I am a 1st year mechanical student. Here the teachers are very cooperative and helpful. So if you are not getting a seat in any NIT OR IIT then you can prefer OUTR.... Read Full Review

    Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneswar, is one of the best State government’s Technical Universities in Odisha. Its fees are low and placement is good. It provides lots of Opportunities to the students. Facilities are very supportive and always ready to help the students.     As per my JEE MAINS rank I got EE, so I joined this college. I don't have an interest in software so I went for core branch. Electrical is the oldest core branch of OUTR, so everyone interested can join. Experience is pretty good till now. OUTR has a nice campus and faculties are co operative.... Read Full Review
