A value for money college

Overall Rating
Hello guys I'm a second-year student in this college. I'm here to share my experience about this college. I got this college through the WBJEE exam. It's one of the best private colleges in West Bengal. I've spent two years in this college so I can say this. One of the reasons for choosing this college is its very low fee compared to other private colleges and also its closeness to my city. I'll say if you're from Jharkhand, UP, or Bihar then you can consider this college.
 

Academics Rating
I'm in the Applied Electronics and Instrumentation branch and my course is somewhat on the tougher side. Also, the academic schedule is hectic. You've to study throughout the semester to score good CGPA in the semester. I enrolled in this branch because the future scopes and also because of my rank. My rank was 14000 in WBJEE and I got this in my 1st round. I've an interest in electronics that's why I've chosen this.
 

Faculty Rating
One of the best things about this college is its faculties. They are really very supportive. Most of the faculties are Ph.D holders from premier institutions of our country. Many of them are from IITs, IISC, and Jadavpur University. As I'm from a different state, I never faced any kind of biasedness because of my language or being from a different state. They are always ready to help you with any problem and their method of teaching is mostly practical.
 

Placement Rating
We have an active placement cell in the Institute that makes sure you can get placements if you're worthy. But I want to mention one thing you must have the knowledge of your course then you can get placements. You can't completely rely on the placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
One major con I feel is the unavailability of a hostel for male students. Hostel is only available for female students. I don't know the reason why but I missed the hostel life and I feel it's the major drawback of college. But the girl's hostels were quite good having almost all the facilities like a Mess, Common Room, Water Cooler, AC, and Indoor Sports.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is decent. Not very hi-fi but good. You get almost everything inside the campus. There are a total of three academic blocks in which classes operate. A Centralized air-conditioned library is there having a collection of thousands of books. Three canteens are there in the college where you can get almost every type of food both North Indian and South Indian. Separate playgrounds are there for different sports.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. You can't expect the life of IITs or of NITs but it's okay. One thing is there is no fest organised after COVID. That is the worst part. But events take place regularly. There are multiple clubs in the college if you're interested in other things besides studies you can easily join a club. Crowd is decent not very huge and I feel it's a good thing. Overall the campus life is not that good but if it's not a factor for you then you can opt for this college.

    I got this institute based on WBJEE counseling through my JEE Main rank which was around 1,00,000. If you are someone looking for a decent institute in Kolkata, you can prefer this one but if you can afford going to Bangalore or Noida side then consider going there.     So basically I study in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Our institute is located in the east Kolkata side, in Anandapur, Ruby area. The campus area of our institute is very good.     If you didn't score well in your JEE or WBJEE, then you can choose this college. Maybe it’s the best private college in Kolkata. Placement here is decent and the faculty members are average. The campus is big and many companies visit for placement although average package is not too much but as tier 3 college it’s a good option.... Read Full Review

    Overall the Institute is beautiful. The location of Institute is perfect with good campus area. I would recommend people to join this Institute. If you don’t get Jadavpur then this Institute should be your second choice. It was a good decision to join this Institute. Here people of same intellect are found with whom you can vibe.
