Indira Gandhi Engineering College B.Tech Review By Vicky Arse

After 12th I appeared in jee mains and scored better percentile to get this college. I'm a mechanical engineering student and I love to share my experience with everyone. Firstly I was so scared about my college life and that was my first time out of home, but I was excited too. In my point of view, Indira Gandhi Engineering College is a great place to achieve your dream and learn engineering.

If anyone wants to take admission in IGEC. I suggest you to score at least 60 percentile for IT branch and for other branches it will be not more than 60. This institute provides scholarship facilities for reserved categories. In my point of view the only mechanical branch in the whole institute that I love. We have experienced teachers and HODs who every time motivate the students to succeed in their lives.

There are only two branches that have proper faculty for better teaching and academic activities those branches was civil and mechanical engineering. The behaviour of the principal is not friendly he does not support students and doesn’t call any company on the campus to hire students.

The average package was 3.5 LPA. The visit of the company is very less and this college doesn't have any good past placement for mechanical and civil branches. Only IT students who prepare well and are well-skilled that type of student get placed.

According to me, the hostel is good there are only 130 seats in the hostel. Rs 12000 are charged for six months of mess services that have good food quality and hospitality. The worst thing in hostel that I'm facing is no one cares about the hostel, a water purifier was busted last year but no one took action on this issue.

This is a large campus which is spread over 100 acres of land there are two blocks in the college. One is the civil block and the second is the science block. There is one workshop that busted a few years ago and the equipment in the workshop is not in working condition. The lab facility is not good. There is a big outfield cricket ground in the college where the students are organising inter-branch cricket tournament i.e. Holi Premier League etc.

Campus life is very nice. Every year a college fest is organised by the college and students participate as much as possible. There is a BIS club in the mechanical department which organises many programs regarding the standard of materials or products, The crowd capacity is huge, every day 500+ students visit the college for their classes and studies.
