DTU - Detailed review

Overall Rating
Delhi Technological University (DTU) is a renowned university in Delhi and one of the best in India by engineering aspect. I overall feel a moderate experience in my 7-month journey. I choose this college over NSUT due to its culture. DTU is far from my home and I spend 4 hours daily travelling but really it is worth it. Due to its fest (engineer, fresher) and fewer restrictions on campus. 75% attendance is not compulsory.
 

Academics Rating
I study in Computer Science Engineering department. I choose this over Mathematics and Computing because due to difficulty of maths. My course has a good academic syllabus but I know students who don't agree with me like in the Electrical department many of the topics are unnecessary and faculty pressurise them to cram the syllabus.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are well qualified holding their Ph.D from well-reputed universities. But they always teach you in a bookish language. But the syllabus is easy if you study one week before end sem exam you will score a good SGPA. In DTU all types of teachers are present. My computer language teacher(mussoadi sir ). He is from Afghanistan and delivers the best knowledge of the computer field to students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
DTU is known for its 165-acre campus. New academic blocks have been inaugurated by Mrs Atishi ( Education Minister of Delhi) in the previous year for the Computer department. It has all facilities like centralised AC, smart board, and lifts. Many developments are visible on campus like the installation of lifts in Mechanical department.
 

Campus Rating
I had a good campus life experience. DTU crowd is very like all of the students cleared the JEE exam. DTU has many societies like madhurima for singing and pratibim for drama. DTU is known for its fest. engifest is one of the biggest fest in North India with over 2 lakh footfall in 3 days. Personally, I choose DTU over NSUT because of campus life.

    DTU New Delhi has its branch as earlier the University was known for Engineering and not it offers various other courses as well. The students pursuing UG program get a lot of new insights.     Choosing University was not my first choice. I always wanted to study in Delhi University but entering the gates of this University changed my life so much. Life at this University is full of academic challenges but it also has great people. Every University has its pros and cons but it only makes you a better person for future.     I started studying at Delhi Technological University in the session 2024 and so far the experience has been good. The people have been great and administrative faculty has been helpful too. We can also ask our seniors for notes and they at times also help me with my doubts, they are very cooperative.     Overall, this University is a great choice for students if they want to pursue courses like BBA, Economics honors or even Masters in economics. The curriculum is well rounded, making sure the students have all the required knowledge. The course also includes hands on experience and exposure including internships, extracurricular and interpersonal development.
