Government Engineering College Thrissur is one of the top-ranked state government institutes where you can get admission by scoring a decent rank in the KEAM examination. I'm currently a second year electrical engineering student in GEC Thrissur. From whatever I have experienced, this is the perfect place for an aspiring engineering student. There are actually 8 branches available including B.Arch. Several M.Tech programs are also provided. Hostels are available. A large ground where sports practices and programs takes place. The college is ranked as the second best engineering college in the state of Kerala, the college has its merits but also has its demerits. The college is really vibrant with lots of events but lesser in quality as compared to other top engineering colleges, but the quality of the programmes is getting better these years.
