Review of Government Engineering College, Thrissur

Overall Rating
This is one of the most famous and reputed colleges for engineering in Kerala under KTU University, especially for Mechanical Engineering. The reason to join this college is that this is one of the best institutes for Mechanical Engineering in the state. This college is near to my house, and also from the review of the seniors who have been in the college.
 

Academics Rating
The college has very good faculty members who are dedicated and determined in every way to improve the academic performance of the students. Most of them are very supportive in a way that we can ask any doubt. The faculty is very friendly, we can ask any doubt and share any issues related to college.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are very friendly and we can ask any doubt at any time. They are very supportive in such a way that they give all kinds of support. Help us in improving our knowledge in the latest technology and to accrue good colleges in higher studies. With their influence and contact with professors of central institutes, we can acquire good opportunities.
 

Placement Rating
This college provides very good placement opportunities for students with mostly high salary packages. The placement cell of this college is very determined to give students the placements they want.
 

Hostel Rating
Government men's hostel is very tough to get as it is allotted on the basis of distance and reservation. The food provided is not very bad.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The total infrastructure is very good as we can see new modern buildings as well as old historically valued first building of the college. Our Mechanical Engineering Department is currently a new one as it changes its Department from old primary building to New Department Block. Which has a Wi-Fi connection as well as filtered water with cold, hot and medium. Good classrooms with projectors and a good bench and desk.
 

Campus Rating
We can enter the college at any time irrespective of time, whether it is day or night no problem. There are a lot of areas under this college which are very interesting to go and explore. The campus life is very good and you can definitely choose this college for campus life.

    It is the second best college in Kerala under APJ KTU University. It is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in Kerala. It is on top 200-300 NIRF ranking. The college has a very vast campus. College supports all the extracurricular activities, sports, etc. Faculty members are highly educated. The architecture of the college is really old.... Read Full Review

    The main reason I chose to enroll in this college is because it’s a government college as one of the 8 government colleges in Kerala. The fees you have to pay here to complete your course are negligible. The cheap cost is the major reason I chose this college. If you have enough rank in KEAM exam, you can study here.     GEC college is the best college of the year. The college itself has 75 acres, which is a very big campus to enjoy. The college has various engineering courses like mechanical, production, computer, etc. Behavior of the teachers makes students more attracted to them for doubts and talks.
