National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur is a college of national importance. When I was looking for colleges on the basis of my JEE rank, NIT Jamshedpur was the best option available to me. The most Important factors which drove me to join this prestigious institution are its phenomenal placement and great coding culture. After spending almost 8 months in this college I have explored every technical and cultural domain of NIT Jamshedpur and I can assure future aspirants that they will not regret the decision of choosing NIT Jamshedpur in their JEE counselling.

NIT Jamshedpur offers several courses including B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, and M.Sc. For B.Tech admission, the candidates will have to take the JEE Main exam and secure a rank under the top 4 percentile. For admission to the MCA Course, candidates have to secure a good rank in the NIMCET exam and similarly, for the M.Tech course, students have to secure a good rank in the GATE exam. The biggest factor for considering NIT Jamshedpur over other colleges is its phenomenal placement record and high-class research opportunities. In B.Tech, NIT Jamshedpur offers a total of eight branches namely CSE, ECE, EE, Mechanical, Metallurgy, ECM, Civil, and Production.

The faculties of NIT Jamshedpur are highly qualified and very supportive. As a student of NIT Jamshedpur, I can surely say that they are supportive in every situation. Most of the faculties are IIT Ph.D holders and are very deeply inclined towards research opportunities. Talking about the teaching methodology, almost every faculty conducts quizzes, class tests, assignments, etc. The question papers are prepared by the same faculties and they can be easily tackled if you pay attention in the class.

Yes, We have a very active placement cell at NIT Jamshedpur. In the year 2023, the placement percentage was close to 98% and the average package of 12 LPA overall. The most important factor is the placement of its core branches like Mechanical, Production, and Civil. Students of these branches have a wide range of opportunities varying from tech jobs to core jobs. Highest package on campus was 84 LPA.

Yes, Every student of our college can avail of hostel facilities. In fresher year, students get double seater room and from 2nd year onwards they are allotted single room. Talking about the infrastructure of hostels, it is good and better than many NITs.

Our infrastructure is on par with mid-tier NITs. Mainly we have one diamond Jubilee lecture hall complex, one open-air theatre, and one Gymkhana for various cultural and technical activities. Infrastructure is one thing on which NIT Jamshedpur is constantly working and improving day by day. The lecture hall complex is fully equipped with advanced technologies.

Campus Life at NIT Jamshedpur is full of thrill, fun, and adventures. You can learn a lot of new life skills on campus with your friends. The crowd here is very skilled, fun-loving, and supportive. Here at NIT Jamshedpur, we have numerous clubs for cultural and technical domains where you can work on your hobbies and pursue them passionately. Talking about fests we organise Culfest (official cultural fest), Ojass(Official Techfest), Urja(official Sports fest), and several branch-wise fests where students participate in different competitions and win exciting prizes.
