Overall Review of Army Institute of Technology, Pune

Overall Rating
I would rate the college 8/10. The placements are good but could get better. The campus is pretty small and far from the main land city, other than this, I think the college is pretty good and can compete with many NITs around the nation. The food and hostel are also very well maintained, the crowd is also well disciplined, and the faculty is very educated.
 

Academics Rating
AIT is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, which provides BE degree in Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, and Telecommunication. AIT takes admissions based on your JEE percentile and requires you to be the ward of army personnel who have served in the army for atleast10 years. You must score more than 85 percentile in JEE for Mechanical and for Computer Science you must score 95+ percentile. Admission process starts by filling the form from their website and then following their merit list.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty holds very impactful educational backgrounds. Most of the teachers hold a Ph.D in their respective fields. The class rooms are equipped with projectors and most of the classes happen on the board and projector. Each subject has its theory as well as practical lab classes every week. Students are prepared for the industry by using real life projects. Every student is required to make a real life problem solving project every semester. Both of our directors are retired army officers.
 

Placement Rating
As per the reports, 98% of the students got placed in last 2-3 years with an average salary of 14 LPA. Highest package being 1 crore by Amazon. Boston UK also hires our student as interns in their 6th semester. Companies like TCS, Google, Oracle, Wipro, Udchalo, and around 80+ MNCs come for the campus placements.
 

Hostel Rating
For the 1st year students, it is compulsory to stay in the college hostel. After competing 1st year they may live outside the college hostel. Hostels are well cleaned and have 24 hour electricity with Wi-Fi. Mess also provides nutrient-rich food prepared with proper hygiene.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread across 30 acres with a very well designed layout. AIT has most of the sports facilities like indoor badminton court, squash, lawn tennis, football, kabaddi mats, cricket, and overall 13-15 major sports facilities. AIT has its own canteen, grocery shop, juice shop, stationary shop, and a food court. Whole academic block has Wi-Fi access.
 

Campus Rating
AIT has a very unique crowd, all of them having military family background and they are very disciplined. The senior-junior bonding is very strong; seniors help in every aspect. AIT has a total of 32 student run clubs which include sports, technical and cultural boards, spiritual, cycling, nature, game development, internet security, OSS, DDQ, Magboard, etc. which help in overall grooming. AIT also hosts Pune's biggest sports event called Pace in which colleges in and around Pune take part. Colleges like SSPU, Symbiosis, VIT, IIIT Pune, VIIT, Flames, NDA, CTW, AFMC, etc. participate.

    I feel very good at AIT Pune. The coding culture is quite good. The campus is green, lovely, and secure place for all students.     Army Institute of Technology is a place where you get the mixture of discipline, academics, discipline and overall personality development. Recently Army Institute of Technology has made the admission open for navy and air force wards, so as in this college there are wards of defense personnel.     As my college name “Army” Institute of Technology suggests, this college is full of discipline and is regulated by AWES (Army Welfare Education Society). The placements of the college are excellent. The average package of college is 13-14 LPA and last year, the highest package was 1.2 CRPA.     I came to know about Army Institute of Technology through one of my faculty members who taught me in my entrance coaching. Later, I searched about the college and went through their own website.
