Army Institute of Technology [AIT], Pune Maharashtra was established in the year 1994 as Government Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Engineering. AIT is approved by the reputed AICTE, accredited by NBA and NAAC-A, and is affiliated with SPPU, Pune. Management of AIT Pune is working under Brig Abhay A Bhat (Director).
In the year 1994, the Army Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in Pune, Maharashtra. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, Maharashtra. It is approved by AICTE. The institute has accreditation of NAAC with “A” grade and NBA.
Vision: AIT has a vision to become a globally recognised technical institute as well as to provide best education to the Defence Personnel.
Mission: AIT has an aim to create an environment of innovation, research, creative thinking, and higher studies. It also targets to develop social, spiritual, intellectual, and emotional quotient in the personnel to produce quality engineers. The institutes ambit is to create an educational system equipped with entrepreneurs and technical leaders that contribute towards nation building as well as sustainable development of society.
AIT provides multiple specialisations at UG and PG level like Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, etc. that run under the different departments like Department of Electronics and Communication, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Information Technology, Department of Applied Science and General Engineering, and Department of Computer Engineering.
