

The Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune has separate accommodation spaces for both male & female students. In addition, to pursue higher education at the Institution, it is must for 1st year Engineering students to avail the residential facilities.
The Army Institute of Technology has around 7 hostels for boys’, including ‘Abdul Kalam’, ‘Homi Bhabha’, ‘Vishwesvariya’, and others. Furthermore, 1 girls’ hostel is available which is named as ‘Kalpana Chawla’.
The hostels of the Institute have adequate space to accommodate more than 1300 students. The rooms in the hostels are available in several occupancies, comprising single, double, and others and are equipped with adequate facilities like bed, tubelight, fan, etc. Furthermore, the Army Institute of Technology hostel fee is Rs. 1,08,520/- (including room rent, Wi-Fi, laundry, and mess but excluding security deposit, barber, and others).
Without paying the full residential charges, students cannot avail the Army Institute of Technology hostel amenities and it needs to be paid during the admission only.

Note: Apart from the afore-given charges, a security deposit (one time) of Rs. 22,000/- in 1st year needs to be paid by the students. Also, other charges like barber, bed bug proof mattress & curtains (one time), etc. are required to be paid.
* For 1st year Engineering students, hostel is compulsory and for other students, it will be allotted on the basis of merit in the last academic year and attendance. The fees are subject to increased every year.

To offer safe surroundings to the students, boys and girls are offered separate Army Institute of Technology hostel facilities. In total, there are 8 hostels, 7 for boys’ and 1 for girls’ with space for around 1131 and 175 students, respectively.
In the boys’ hostels, there are 588 rooms in total and 67 rooms in the hostels for female students. Moreover, the AIT Pune hostel rooms are allotted to the students in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 sharing basis and are also fully furnished with adequate facilities like table, chair, cupboard, book shelf, bed, etc.

In addition to this within the hostel, a recreational room with indoor games facilities like TV, Pool Table, Foosball Table, Carom Board etc. is present. Moreover, separate gymnasiums are provided to male & female hostellers.
To take care of the health of the students, the Army Institute of Technology Hostel Committee has appointed a doctor who visits the premises if students require urgent medications. Also, around the clock ambulance and nursing assistant services are available for the students.

The Mess Committee of the Institute has established separate messes for male & female students. 4 meals are served by the mess which includes Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks & Dinner and to avail this facility, students have to pay the mess charges which is Rs. 46,230/- for a year. Moreover, the Institute has included the mess fee in the hostel charges.
Students are restricted to carry their food from the mess to the allotted rooms without the permission of the wardens. Apart from the mess, students can access the 2 cafeterias available within the Institute’s campus.
