Review of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata

Overall Rating
I am in ECE 2nd year in this college. The placement percentage is high. Also, I want to say that the campus life is very good. There are 2 big playgrounds and a library inside the campus. Also, there are three canteens in our campus with good food. My overall experience in this college is good. I am proud to be a part of this college.
 

Academics Rating
If it's the topic about the academics of the college, it is good. As there are 8 semester and all the semester are divided in two parts. The two parts are internal and external exams, internal marks are decided on the basis of the surprise tests and appearance of a student. After that, there are so many clubs like dancing (Ghoongroo), drama (Anuvab), singing (Resonance), etc.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of our college is very good and very friendly with the students. They also provide help for placement and higher studies. They give us good instructions so that we can make projects and many other things, but some of the faculties are rude. The principal is a very good person. Overall, the faculty can help us with many problems.
 

Placement Rating
If it's the topic of placement, there are high chances to get placed, even for many mid range students. The average package was 8.5 LPA last year and the highest package was 18 LPA through on campus placement. But many students get placed through off campus placements and they get good packages.
 

Hostel Rating
There are many hostels for girls but none for boys. The girl’s hostel is located inside the campus, the boys live in PGs near the college. Also, there are many flats available for rent near the college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
For the topic of infrastructure, it is a huge space. There are three big playgrounds and three libraries as well as three canteens. The most attractive part about the college is the fact that it has a good infrastructure. For B.Tech, there are 3 buildings CME (civil, mechanical, and electrical), ICT (IT, CSE, and ECE), and CB (chemical and biotechnology). In the campus there are other colleges like a law college named Heritage Law college (HLC), The Heritage Academy (THA), and The Heritage College (THC).
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good for all the students. Many students are studying in this college and they enjoy their campus life. There is so much crowd during the break time. After that, the afternoon time when the college ends, all the students are busy in the field, playing outdoor games. At last, the campus life is good.

    I got this institute based on WBJEE counseling through my JEE Main rank which was around 1,00,000. If you are someone looking for a decent institute in Kolkata, you can prefer this one but if you can afford going to Bangalore or Noida side then consider going there. But overall it will be a good option rather than taking a drop. In comparison to other institutes of Kolkata this is far better.     So basically I study in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Our institute is located in the east Kolkata side, in Anandapur, Ruby area. The campus area of our institute is very good.     If you didn't score well in your JEE or WBJEE, then you can choose this college. Maybe it’s the best private college in Kolkata. Placement here is decent and the faculty members are average. The campus is big and many companies visit for placement although average package is not too much but as tier 3 college it’s a good option.... Read Full Review
