So, it has been almost 2 years since I have graduated from SHUATS. After passing the entrance examination conducted by the college itself, I took a sigh of relief as I was finally getting through my dream college. Trust me when I say this, it is one of the finest and well-organized colleges one can ever come across. I can still very well remember how we were scared on our first day to face the seniors! Instead of showing their power, they helped us so much in dealing with the primary projects given by the teachers and guided us throughout the semesters. Although I felt that the hostel charges were a bit high, it was a hearty time that I spent there. The food was awesome unexpectedly; the peers, the juniors, the teachers, everyone were so cooperative like it sits perfectly for the phrase “second home”. I know the course is hard and requires a lot of patience to complete every single assignment, but it’s for our good. Off-campus placements are top-notch as it’s a precious degree for the world today. But what I feel is that there are fewer opportunities for on-campus placements as the companies that come to our university only select the top 3-4 students. So there is an unfair balance that gets created. Maybe it's the trick that the university does for all its students to achieve the highest possible hard work and to get what they are capable of. The faculties are awesome, perfect people to guide us. Had an amazing lifetime experience, still reminiscing every golden day I spent there.

Our college is providing a lot of interdisciplinary courses along with agriculture and technology which includes subjects like forensic science, microbiology basic sciences etc. For professional course you need to write an entrance examination & for general courses admissions are based on class 12 marks. You must have 75% minimum aggregate in your class 12 mark sheet for being eligible to fill up the forms. I got myself admitted in the course of B.Sc Hon. Agriculture. Most students, including me, consider the faculty to be one of the top faculties in our institute. To push the boundaries of students' knowledge, various types of projects are assigned to students throughout the year. These different types of projects help keep students interested and also help students learn in different ways. In addition to these weekly tests, presentations and other live projects are also conducted for students. Our institute has a well-planned education system that will not only teach students but will also help them learn in a fun and better way. We get a lot of internship opportunities from various domestic and international companies during the course. Apart from this, there are a lot of events like education programs, seminars or summer camps are conducted in our college. Our college also provides offline coaching for UPSC, NET, JRF and other competitive exams. Separate coaching is provided by the university itself for the aspirants of these examinations so that they can successfully achieve their dreams. The university has tie ups with top notch educational coaching institutions like BYJU's for the above purpose.

The university has few of the best faculty of agriculture and various other departments from all across the nation. Majority of them are either pass out from our own college itself or alumni of other prestigious institutions like BHU, GB Pant, etc. The way they explain every theory and concept is amazing and they ensure that everything is crystal clear to their students. All the professors are experienced and have been teaching for the last 20 years. Apart from academics, they are always there to help students whenever they need help in both academic and non-academic problems.

Our university offers the best and top-notch placement opportunities. We also have a placement cell. Every year, many well-known companies hold recruitment events to transparently select talented students and placements. If you have good grades then you can easily manage to bag and average 7 lakhs rupees per annum salary. The highest package last year was 12 lakhs per Annum. Companies like ITC, Mahindra select students from our campus each year. Rest majority students move to towards the research and academic line and appear for post-graduation examinations. Students from our college have secured top ranks in GATE and other post-graduation level competitive examination in previous years. Many students have had the opportunity to be hired by leading companies to pursue their careers. However, most of the placement is done mainly for agriculture and engineering students. In my opinion, the placement facility for other courses apart from these two is a bit low. You can surely try for the off-campus ones though!

The hostel is divided into 4 blocks of Old Hostel New Hostel International Hostel Last PG Hostel. The hostel fees is from 20,000- 1.5 lakhs per year based on you accommodation and type of hostel you are choosing. You can choose 4, 3 or 2 bedded rooms. New students are given the old hostel and from the following year, they are assigned a new hostel. Those who don't mind paying extra for facilities like air conditioning might opt for an international hostel. Most often after two years, pupils choose several private cottages located near the institute. Because they are much cheaper and better. Old Hostel is in very poor condition and the walls are not painted properly. In the rainy season, the condition is exacerbated by unnecessary pests. The mess charges are cheap and affordable. For non-vegetarian its 3000 per month and for vegetarians its 2500 per month only. Security facilities are considerably good. However, while the new hostel is better, the two main drawbacks of this hostel are the lack of backup power when subject to power load limitations. The room lacks adequate ventilation and natural light. Overall, I can say that the hostel is worth buying if you make good friends.

The university area is wide, and so are their facilities. The university has all sports facilities, from outdoor sports grounds to indoor sports complexes. There is also small luggage, and the facilities are equipped. The library has enormous number of books. There were many magazines, daily newspapers, and a vast study area, so the library was the best place to go and read. The campus has a racetrack, restaurants, and especially everything. Being an agriculture college, we have a vast acre of farmland that is used for practical and agricultural research purposes. You can also spend your time venturing in the rice fields with your friends. We also have emergency medical and healthcare facility inside our college campus. We have separate building foe each and every department. The laboratories are filled with advanced scientific instruments which helps us to gain sharp and accurate practical knowledge of every subject.

Life at college was busy, but it was worth it until the end of the tough day. Seniors and uniforms are friendly and always ready to help. The faculty members were equally helpful and were always there to help their students whenever in need. Through this event, we were able to show our other talents and I am comfortable sitting in my seat even after graduating from this university. So this was my option regarding my college. I have tried to be as much honest and transparent from the bottom of my heart while I was writing this. With few ups and few downs overall my college life was fruitful.
