NSHM Kolkata-Detailed Insight

Overall Rating
I'd say that overall the college is good. The academic environment is good. Faculties are well educated. They organises various seminars for the betterment of our study. Campus life is good they provide all basic facilities like smart classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, etc. But the cons are that in maximum rooms of NCMT (there are 2buildings NBS & NCMT) they have no AC. The campus is small not that big.
 

Academics Rating
NSHM Kolkata is the only college serving BBA-Global Business in Kolkata. Our academic environment is very good I'd say comparing to other colleges, entry requirements is CET (Common Entrance Test) and eligibility is Higher Secondary pass out with 65% of marks. My motive to enroll here was that I was passionate about studying BBA-Global Business and NSHM was providing this course and they're also providing the 15 days physical learning experience at University of Malaysia. These things attracted me.
 

Faculty Rating
Now coming to the main topic, Faculties. Faculties here are top notch, they're very well taught in their fields. From academia to industry they bear immense knowledge about their fields. Most of them are Ph.D holders and they're very knowledgeable. They teach in a student friendly style. They are very supportive and helpful I'd say.
 

Placement Rating
Yes there's an active placement cell in my college and as heard by seniors the placements here are very good. Like we have been on campus placement drives, where renowned companies come here to hire us and in case of off-campus placements, the placement cells refer the students on behalf of them. They also focus on making the students placement ready.
 

Hostel Rating
No, NSHM Kolkata doesn't have any hostel of its own. But around the college numerous PGs, flats and hostels are available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus isn't that much big, but the infrastructure is good. Every classroom is smart and labs are well built. IT labs, Mac Labs and Libraries with online accessibility are also present in the college. The college premises are very neat and clean all the time. But the major problem is that the campus isn't that big. Keeping that aside is the campus isn't fully air-conditioned so that is a concern in this scorching heat and the canteen area is also not well renovated. Overall the college is under renovation hope they'll fix this issue soon.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is good, during exam times crowd is there but in normal days the class timings of different departments are different due to which the crowd gets managed. There are various clubs in NSHM, Kolkata like Uday: Sports Club, Aangan: Dance and cultural club, Reels: Cinema Club, CLC: Centre for language and communication, Spanda: Yoga Club, Earth mates: Environment Club and many more. Annual fest is LOGIN, which happens in the month of March. It’s an intercollegiate fest where many colleges participate. Many celebrity singers are also invited during this fest.

  • NSHM Kolkata Hostels provides good stay and food

    NSHM Kolkata is one of the renowned colleges in Kolkata and West Bengal. It is a good choice for pursuing the bachelor’s and master’s degree in various streams for the students in West Bengal and Eastern India. I got admission in this college in 2021 in the B.Pharm course. NIRF ranked this college in 60th position in 2020. This college has a NAAC A+ accreditation.     When one talks about B-Schools, they think that if one can pay the fees, they automatically become eligible to get placed at a private College. Well, NHSM is different from those because entrance scores are taken into consideration and the seats for MBA are few, so it's not that anyone can take admissions.     NSHM doesn’t throw admissions like any private university or college. CMAT score or rather a healthy score in CMAT is required to get admissions here. The management is quite polite and MBA though was not in my plans but to my surprise my dad and other family members urged me to do it. Unthinkable happens at NSHM Knowledge Campus as education in the classroom is something in which the college doesn’t believe.
