My review on Indian Institute of Information Technology

Overall Rating
This college is newly built in Kamrej (15km from Surat station). The campus is not fully built now and hostel is not in campus, students are provided private hostels in schools campus which is 10km away from college (bus Services is available). Classrooms are good but not air conditioned. It gets heated in summer season. But the CSE labs and staff rooms have ACs. Some professors are friendly while few faculties are non cooperative. Kamrej is a good place. Students can rent a flat in locality near college.
 

Academics Rating
You get this college after giving JEE MAINS and counseling on JOSAA, you can get admission on the basis of merit list. There are only 2 courses CSE and ECE. Ph.D program is also there. You can check everything on college official website by just typing IIIT Surat on Google. You can get decent college experience and placement is just average here.
 

Faculty Rating
Some old faculties are just awesome. There teaching skills are very nice and they give good marks in internals and exams. But few new faculties have joined now and they are not cooperative, also they don’t entertain doubts and problems of the students.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is just average. If you are getting good CGPA then you are eligible for taking part in placement and after clearing placement rounds you will be placed in a company.
 

Hostel Rating
There is no hostel. College is providing a separate hostel around 12 km away from college campus in a school. Hostels of schools are decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College is not fully built. Only 10 percent of campus is available for students rest are fields. ECE labs don’t have AC’s. Toilets are neat and clean.
 

Campus Rating
Your college life will be much better if you stay in a flat rather than hostel as hostel facilities are not up to the mark.

    I like IIIT Surat because it is an Institute of National Importance, which is very good for my career in future. The placement scene is improving year by year because good companies are visiting the campus. Surat weather is also another plus point which made me choose this particular institute.     The Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat is still in its developing phase. The campus and its overall infrastructure is average. The campus is very small. Apart from this there is an issue with number of faculties also as most of them are on temporary basis. But on the other hand the coding culture is quite decent and there are a lot of clubs to explore. The placement is average.     Overall Rating
    To be honest, IIIT Surat wasn't first priority of mine. After counseling it was the best college I could have got at my rank. My experience in college is great till now. I am accompanied with very talented students overall India. Seniors here are very helpful and approachable, which is one of the best things here. Also there are various active clubs here, which makes it easy for students who also want to follow their passions. Overall I am having great time here.... Read Full Review

    Overall the experience is average. The institute does not lack in facilities or equipment. However the institute has become stagnant over a period of about 2 years. The institute has not progressed beyond that. There is no lacking in facilities in the institute which is a plus point. But, the lack of institutional hostel facilities, placement and recent faculty inclusions somewhat degrade overall experience.
