Overall, MITS Gwalior has received excellent reviews. Since MITS Gwalior is a government college with a high ranking in Madhya Pradesh (as per Madhya Pradesh's AICTE ranking, which places them third) and they have excellent teachers, a large campus, and excellent infrastructure. Additionally, there are sports fields for Cricket, basketball, football, etc.

The MP Direct online platform held a separate counseling session in June with many rounds and options for admission, which were based on JEE Mains score and rank. The cut-off is around 80-85 percentile for students from other states and 70-75 percentile for the students from the home state. In the first year of the MITS course curriculum, students are given general overall of all the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Programming, Electronics, etc. Additionally, elective courses were created in accordance with industry standards. We used to have one end semester of 70 marks, two mid semesters of 20 marks and one viva test.

In my college, the teacher to student’s ratio was not very excellent. The qualifications of the teachers were respectable; most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D and postgraduate from the top IITs across India. Additionally, their teaching strategies are excellent, and faculty input is provided once a month. Teachers are open to suggestions for improvement or clarification of their approaches. While some of the professors in my department are somewhat arrogant but other professors who are always willing to help and can be reached via zoom sessions, offline chats or WhatsApp.

MITS Gwalior placements have not been great recently. There are extremely few job offers in core departments like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, etc., but only branches like CS, IT, and ECE have placements. Speaking of recent placements, only 50 companies visited the campus for placements, and only one MNC, which was Accenture, arrived to provide 3-6 LPA. Other companies that visited the campus include Tiger Analytics, Volvo Eicher, Jamna Auto, TCS, and others. The placement report for 2024 has not yet been released, but our faculties have informed us that very few people were placed in core branches in 2024. The average package is around 4 to 5 LPA.

There are 3 girls’ hostels and only one boy’s hostels in the campus, which creates a problem for boys. Apart from that, the hostel room is good, having table, chair and cupboards. The hostels are equipped with indoor sports, gymnasium and internet facilities. The food is average, not very good but menu is very diverse including both north and south Indian dishes.

The infrastructure at MITS Gwalior is pretty good and meets all of the needs of the students. While some of the buildings are quite recent and well-designed, others are rather old. One of the largest facilities at MITS Gwalior is the cricket and football ground, which are very well maintained. The library of my college is also very good, having a very wide range of books, documentaries and research papers. The library is equipped with computers and ACs.

The college is the most amazing time in a person's life, and campus life is truly amazing. Annual events include the Youth Fest, Cenarius, and Sports Fest. There are 64 social clubs and organization in all, including the Querencia (Literacy Club), GDSC, TEDx Club, Dance and Music Club, Photography Club, Sports Club, etc. There is no discrimination based on gender, and all sports are held at the college with the necessary equipment available in the sports rooms. The only sports facilities that are not offered at the college are hockey fields. The campus is full of greenery and gardens.
