Overall, if you’re willing to afford the private college, and cannot get into any government engineering college then this college is perfect, because of a good studying environment and fewer distractions. It is situated in Uttarakhand’s one of the most beautiful cities, Dehradun. Moreover, it is even better in so many aspects than some other government colleges of the state. The university is credited by AICTE, which will help in standardizing the syllabus and curriculum of your entire B.Tech program. The admission process is straightforward, and they take admissions based on your class 12th performance. Even if you have a low score, there is a good probability that you can make it into college, if you have applied in timely; otherwise, there are limited seats.
I applied for computer science engineering; it is one of the most popular courses in engineering. It has 40-45 subjects spread in the entire program for four years. This course certainly is enough for getting a job, because of maximum demand from the companies. Course subjects are easy and were taught very well. In most of our classes we studied, we did in a computer lab. The exam pattern here is fine although sometimes it could a bit hectic. You have to give almost 6 theory exams each year. Also, there are practice exams for few subjects each semester. The exams are not that hard. Moreover, the CGPA system is based solely on your own score, and not on the percentile manner, which is an advantage.
It is a good thing here that you will most probably be seeing new faces for each subject every semester. Although, professors might teach you two-three subjects but not the case in the same semester. There are many departments here in the college; therefore, the number of faculties is very high. We have been introduced to almost every professor, and many of the professors here, it was nice to be aware that most of the professors are either have mastered IITs or have doctorates. That makes that faculty of our college is nice. Besides, the professors are really helpful and supportive during the entire duration of our B.Tech.
Although as I have previously written that this course is enough for getting a job, in companies maximum-companies coming here seek aspirants for marketing jobs rather than technical jobs as a data analyst, back-end dev, programmer, etc. Since such companies aren’t coming to our college for the exact job that you require, the companies here basically comes for mass recruitment. In mass recruitment, the pay is less, and the work is also moderate and does not give wide exposure to numerous opportunities. However, the minimum placements that can never go below are 1.5 LPA. Also, most students are getting placed from here. The groundbreaking truth is that placements are decent here and you cannot expect more than 16 LPA generally from on-campus placements.
Hostel facilities are decent here, you cannot expect much. However, the hostel timings are fine; you cannot spend much of your time outside the hostel. You can only go out of the hostel once or twice a week. Food quality is decent and not too bad. Moreover, you get to share a room with a fellow batch mate, if you decide to do so. The room condition is good and has a modern-type look in the room. Although, you can also decide to rent a room outside, which students generally prefer because of the freedom to roam around and hang out in this beautiful city.
The infrastructure of the building is amazing and modern. There are smart-class quipped classrooms, big halls with staircase manner seating, and large playgrounds where you could play so many sports. There are so many sites to hang out on the campus, which will be enough for you to make memories. There is one library on the corner side of the campus, which supports so many books for each course program available in the college. The library is a good place to sit and study. The total area of the campus is quite large and looks beautiful supported by the beauty of the city.
If you have somehow landed in this college, you will leave making so many memories in the end. There are many activities that will be supporting you for the entire 4 years. Moreover, there will be many cultural activities and fests celebration that will keep you entertained and you will always be exciting for the next event to happen. Societies and events are a good way of learning and interacting with numerous people.
